their next instruction.

2. Then walk the students to the oval, send the students to run
one lap of the oval.

3. Once the students have run the whole way around, collect
the students into a group to do a stretch and warmup
exercise to get the students ready for their lesson.

Lesson Steps (Lesson content, structure, strategies & Key

1:55pm Questions):
1. First explain that when I blow the whistle it means to stop
what you are doing and eyes on me.
Whistle

2. For the first activity I will split the class into two groups, each

2

group will have a cone that they start on and an cone at the
other end of the area we are playing on. Each student will 4 Cones
have a go jump with two feet to the cone and then skipping
back to tag the next person, they continue to do this until all
of the students have had a go. The first group to go through
all the students wins and bobs down. Play this game once or
twice, asking the students if they want to change the skip to a
hop or a run back and again the first group to go through
everyone wins.
Physically demonstrate the game first with Mrs Papas and Mrs
Palmer, ask if the students understand the game. Make sure that I
explain all the points to execute the skills according to the FMS
education document.

2:15pm
3. For the next activity, the students will be playing What’s the
Time Mr Wolf. Explain the rules of the game to the students. 4 Cones
One person will be Mr Wolf, they will have their back facing
away from the group and when the class calls “what’s the
time Mr Wolf?” the wolf will call out a time for example “4
o’clock”, then the students will jump with two feet the amount
of times the time the students says. Then once the students
are close enough Mr Wolf will say “dinner time” and try and
tag someone to be the next Mr Wolf.
Again, physically show the rules of the game with Mrs Papas and
Mrs Palmer, then ask if the students understand the game. Then
make someone Mr Wolf by asking the quickest one to touch their
head (or something similar).

Lesson Closure:(Review lesson objectives with students)

2:40pm 1. Play that game as many times as the students want or until
the time runs out to go back to class.

Transition: (What needs to happen prior to the next lesson?)

1. Call the students to line back up with the line leaders at the

3

start of each line.

2. Grab their water bottles on the way out of the oval and
quietly walk back to their classroom, putting their hats in their
bag and putting back their water bottles then sitting on the
mat to end the day.

Assessment: (Were the lesson objectives met? How will these be

judged?)

- The assessment will just be mental note taking down any

students who found the two feet jump really challenging as
well as note taking any students who could not take the
directions of the game or those who did not participate.
