I. BEST PRACTICES
Eliseo C. Ronquillo Sr. Memorial National High School course offering:
Academic Track - General Academic Strand: Elective Local Guiding Services NC II.
The “Earning while Learning” ECRMNHS Best Practice, the students are engaged in
actual tour guiding at Balete Eco Park. The park management allows our student
to practice their Local Guiding Services activities with the real tourist wherein the
skills and abilities of the students are developed. They are able to earn incentives
from the owner Mr. Ronquillo and from the tourist. Students were trained on how to
handle different kind of guests/tourists. Balete Eco Park play a big role especially in
helping our least fortunate student. The incentives of the students will be saved and
it can be used for their project “GIVE LOVE”-Gift Giving, Feeding Program and
“Tsinelas mo Sagot ko”. Bernabe Dulay MES at Diaman Maria Aurora, Aurora is one
of the beneficiary of the said project.

IV. Conclusion

Work Immersion will generally be the primary method use for broadening students’
skill and increasing productivity. It will help the students how a job works and provide
sufficient knowledge to the field they had chosen. OJT is part of senior high school curriculum
that aims to train and orient students about their future career. OJT is very important not only
to teach students their chosen career but to show students the reality about working.
After the training, the trainee will be able to handle situations properly and they will
be able to know how to socialize well with their colleagues. They will also be able to work
well with everyone and they will have a good teamwork. OJT also enhances the critical
thinking abilities and discipline of the students conducting their training in a company.
