Objectives:
To familiarize
1. To study the chronological development of bio process technology design and construction of
fermentor and parameters to be monitored and controlled in biochemical process.
2. To study the various media for fermentation process
3. To teach the principle and kinetics of sterilization methods
4. To study the stoichiometry and energetics of cell growth and product formation
5. To evaluate the kinetics and mechanism of microbial growth

Introduction: Chronological development of bioprocess technologies, basic configuration


of fermentor and accessories, outline of an integrated bioprocess and the various unit
