Hardworking, goal-oriented and committed Electrician currently employed by Zimbabwe Power Company at
Kariba South Power Station, adept in performing electrical installations, retrofits, maintenance and repairs; with
knowledge and an ability to analyze and solve problems with various electrical tools, controls and systems. I enjoy
learning, working with and supporting outside contractors. I can work well independently but am also a team player

Responsibilities:

 Knowledge of operating auxiliary systems in hydro and thermal power plants, and processing industries.

 Performing plant maintenance, performance testing, and plant installations as needed.

 Maintain required maintenance documentation including records, log sheets and charts.
 Perform weekly PM checklists

 Maintenance and repair of Turbine Governor Systems, Generators and PLCs (Static Exciter Systems, Chiller
Plant Controls, HPC)
 Carrying out standby duties.

Skills/Competencies:
 Installing, maintaining, repairing and testing equipment to suit modifications in line with changing technologies
for the generation and utilization of electric energy.
 Performing planned electro-mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance on plant equipment including
Generators, Transformers, HV and MV Circuit Breakers, Turbine Governor Systems, PLCs, Electric Motors.

 Analyzing and following manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications to troubleshoot,
locate and rectify faults.
 Organizing and supervising subordinates to optimize productivity and team efforts.
 Ensuring workshop safety and good housekeeping on worksites.
 Adhering to ISO14001 and ISO9001:2008 Quality System Requirements
 Adhering to new OSHAS standards.

Academic Qualifications
Nine Ordinary Levels including English and Mathematics.
