37. In the following section you will have to use your Lab Virtual Machines in order to demonstrate some
technical hands-on skills.

Please login on eLearning TechAdviser and make sure you have connectivity to the below listed VMs.
Once your connectivity is confirmed with the classroom instructor you are ready to begin and complete
the required tasks.

You are supposed to solve the exercises and then upload at least one screen-shoot picture
demonstrating the completion of the task after each of the below questions. A file or archive cannot
have more than 2MB so please be careful of what files you are trying to upload!

You should not use the management network for any of the below exercises that require network
connectivity between lab VMs. You must use the NIC that does not have an IP address assigned which is
connected to your unique lab switch (All your VMs are connected on this switch).

Breaking the connectivity to your VMs will cause a complete or partial loss of the current section. Your
instructor will not help you troubleshoot or reestablish the connectivity during the exam!

Please answer the following questions in order because the exercises are linked each other and you
cannot skip task one in order to complete task two.
For this section you will have to login on VMs called "LabGUI-DC" and "LabGUI-SRV2".

Some of the exercices require IP configuration settings that you are supposed to complete during the
exam. Remember from lab that you have to add IP address, subnet mask and DNS. You do not need
default gateway to reach a neighbour from the same IP subnet. Please make sure first you have IP
connectivity before trying to complete a more complex task.

Please feel free to install any additional role or feature that you consider in order to complete this
section tasks.

Be aware that Identical answer files will attract a fail of both/all similar exams.

Pay attention to the countdown. The files cannot be sent after the time will be expired so you might
completely lose this section!

Task: On LabGUI-DC create a new mirrored volume with the following properties:

Choose two new disks

File system: ReFS

Quick format: Yes

Volume label: Mirror

Shrink the volume with power shell

Delete your configuration and bring disks to the inital state

Access servers: 172.16.0.21

Connect from LabGUI-SRV2 using iSCSI Initiator and show the completion of this task.

Ataseaza fisier:

39. Create and list an SMB share by using Windows PowerShell . The share name should be
“DemoShare-”.

Upload screen-shoots showing the completion of this task.

Ataseaza fisier:

40. Validate the servers for failover clustering and then create the failover cluster with the two VMs you
have.

Servers: LabGUI-DC and LabGUI-SRV2

Cluster Name: Cluster1

Address: 172.16.0.125

Add the file-server application to the failover cluster then add a shared folder to a highly-available file
server. Upload screen-shoot with your progress.

Ataseaza fisier:

41. Create a new User Defined data collector set by using the following information to complete the
process:

Name: LabGUI-SVR2- Performance

Type of data: Performance counter

Select the following counters: Memory, Network Interface, PhysicalDisk, Processor

Store in default value
