Good night: Boa noite (quando sai): Lembre-se Boa noite é para dizer tchal, não é
uma saudação. Voce pode também faer uma pergunta, como por exemplo, no
clube, Boa noite?
Hi - hello - so long é uma saudação.
*see you tomorrow, see you later, nao é uma saudação, usamos para
dizer tchal ou ate amanhã, portanto é o oposto de uma saudação.
*but you never use so long *you can use, hello, hi ,hey, how it`s
going, you alright, good morning, good afternoon, good evening
but the greeting when you use the word good, is only to people of
bigger stature than yourself, like the queen

Shaking hands: When meeting someone formally for the first time, we
shake their hand and say "How do you do?" or "Pleased to meet you."

"How do you do?" isn't really a question, it just means "Hello".

When young people meet informally they sometimes say "Give me

five!" and slap their hands together (high five).

Generally we do not shake hands with people we don’t know well.
