PRINCIPLES OF MARKETING

Learning Competency:Define and identify relevant promotional tools,


namely, advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, public relations, and
direct marketing to create awareness and persuade the target market to
buy the product or patronize the service. ABM_PM11-IIa-e-19

I. OBJECTIVES: at the end of the session, the learners will be able to:
Design a new product or service, decide types of pricing approach, and
choose distribution methods and promotion tools that respond to market trends

II. CONTENT: The essence of the new product development, pricing, placing
(distribution), and promoting a product or service

A. Subject Matter: Promotional Tools


B. Materials: Black board, chalk, Laptop and projector

D. Value Focus: The learners shall be able to design a new product or service,

III.PROCEDURE:
A. Review: Recall the supply chain management: Ask students to identify the
elements of the supply chain

B. Motivation: Show the pictures/logo of products and ask them to identify

C. Application: Show pictures that describe promotional tool.

organizations, government agencies, and individuals who seek to inform
and/or persuade members of a particular target market or audience about
their products, services, organizations, or ideas.”

IV. EVALUATION: Group Activity: i-ART-e Mo!


1. The class will be divided into six groups.
2. Each group will make their own advertising campaign from one of the
following types of products:

 Beauty and hygiene


 Food and beverages
 Cleaning materials

3. This activity will be for 10 minutes

V. ASSIGNMENT
Choose one commercial currently airing on television and analyse it. Identify
the message that it conveys as well as the values or characteristics it promotes.
Was the advertisement effective, impactful and memorable?

VII. REFFLECTION:
The Students realized that Making an Advertisement is need to plan
according on how to encourage the customers by giving the used and benefits of
the product.
