OBJECTIVE OF THE RESEARCH

General objective

Identify the functions of the Parochial de la Peaña GAD towards the elderly care project, through

a specific analysis, to understand the social problems of this priority group

Specific objectives

 Determine the priority projects that allow the development of actions in favor of the care

of the elderly

 Develop management strategies to improve the quality of life of older adults in the Peaña

parish
 ABSTRACT

The present essay seeks to recognize the models of governance provided by the parochial GAD for

the care management of the quality of life of the elderly. Establishing the quality of the services

offered by the institution to the elderly. In the same way, it will be determined the difficulties that

the elderly care services present and, in this way, propose a possible solution to it.

For the study, a rational deductive research approach will be followed, based on scientific

information relevant to the subject of the study, as well as empirical information collected through

a research instrument such as structured interviews, addressed to authorities, leaders and the elderly

beneficiaries of the project.

The results of the research were verifiable where they favor the attention to the elderly from the

policies and projects aimed at improving the quality of life and social inclusion of the elderly from

the management of the Municipal GAD of the Peaña Parish, where the intervention applied this

institution has contributed to strengthen this priority group.

 RESUMEN

El presente ensayo busca reconocer los modelos de gobernabilidad brindados por el GAD
parroquial para la gestión de atención de la calidad de vida del adulto mayor. Estableciendo la
calidad de los servicios que ofrecen la institución a los adultos mayores. De la misma manera se
determinará las dificultades que presenta los servicios de atención del adulto mayor y de esta
manera proponer una posible solución al mismo.

Para el estudio se seguirá un enfoque de investigación racional deductivo, fundamentado en

información científica relevante al tema de estudio, además de información empírica recogida a
través de instrumento de investigación como entrevistas estructuradas, dirigidas a autoridades,
dirigentes y a los adultos mayores beneficiarios del proyecto.

Los resultados obtenidos de la investigación fueron verificables donde favorecen la atención al

adulto mayor desde las políticas y proyectos dirigidos a mejorar la calidad de vida e inclusión
social del adulto mayor desde la gestión del GAD Municipal de la Parroquia la Peaña, donde la
intervención que aplica dicha institución ha contribuido a fortalecer este grupo prioritario.
