Washpipe Cartridge

Blak-JAK 7500 psi washpipe cartridge system is a self-contained unit that is repacked on the rig floor instead of at the topdrive,
reducing personnel time aloft and promoting a safer workplace. An extra cartridge can be packed and used as a stand-by unit,
allowing for 15 minute replacement, greatly reducing downtime. With a design that is 25% lighter than OEM designs, the system
enables maneuverability at the swivel and on the rig floor.
The repacked cartridge is installed by tightening the nuts to the gooseneck and stem. During the rebuilding process, a single
motion tightens the complete unit, allowing easy assembly and repacking. Disassembly, assembly, and operation may be
accomplished without external energizing devices such as air or hydraulics.
The Mission Blak-JAK washpipe cartridge system can use the same OEM 7500 psi washpipe and packing used in a conventional
assembly without modifications. High temperature resistant packing is available for assembly in extreme conditions. The swivel
and gooseneck require no adjustments to install the system, and periodic lubrication requirements are identical to the OEM unit.
