I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
a) identify the artists and artworks of Renaissance and Baroque Period through
message relay
b) reflect on the message emanating from the artworks of Renaissance, Baroque,
through making a reflection paper
II. SUBJECT MATTER
Topic: Arts of Renaissance and Baroque Periods/ Neoclassic and Romantic Periods
Subtopic: *(Day 1-2) Renaissance and Baroque’ s Artworks and Artists
Reference: Badiola, M. et., al, Music and Arts Grade 9 Learner’s Material. Vibal
Group Inc. page 230-237
Materials: Power point presentation, television chalk, illustration board and eraser
III. PROCEDURE

1. The teacher will let the students guess the picture being shown.
C. Analysis
1. What are the characteristics of the Renaissance and Baroque arts?
2. How do the artists convey their ideas in their artworks?
D. Abstraction
 Discussion of the topic.
E. Application
 (Day 3) The students will identify the artist and artworks of romantic and Baroque
in a “Message Relay Activity”
Short Summary and Discussion”
IV. EVALUATION
1. (By group) The group are tasked to make a short summary discussion, group’s output
will be evaluated by the teacher
V. ASSIGNMENT
How can you perceive the message emanating from the sculptures of Neoclassism
and Romanticism? Do you think you can apply this in real life situation? If yes,
how? If no, why not
