WWW Resource Evaluation and Bibliography Assignment

Prior to starting this assignment, please go to http://www.tammypayton.net/courses/search/credible2.shtml and
learn about evaluating websites (make sure to click next page at the bottom and read 3 pages). Then,
for this assignment, you will need to utilize a website evaluation form from the list below for 2
websites (2 forms) and evaluate websites that would be valuable in your classroom related to your
curricular topic. After finding and evaluating 2 websites using the forms, continue on to find more
resources without using the forms so that you have a total of 5 websites (1 may be for you as a teacher,
4 need to be for students to use), 1 WebQuest, and 2 Video/Media sources specific to your topic that
you think are worth using, please compose an annotated bibliography. You need to include a
description of what can be found at the site and how it might be used in your classroom. Please be
prepared to present 1 of your sites to the rest of the class. Bring to class your bibliography, your 2
forms, and this self-evaluated rubric stapled to the back.

Ex: www.webquests.org- This site is dedicated to WebQuests. Not only does it have Web Quests that
have already been created, but it also allows you to use blank formats to create your own WebQuests.
This site is great for teachers to use in their classroom as a way to have their students use the Internet
as a way to research their topics and can also be used as a way for students to show their understanding
of a topic by creating a WebQuest.
