Upon the favour of the SRC, the
Regulations
Display & Safety Committee Mission
The job of this committee is to guarantee
that all contestants are authorized to join the
competition. This committee must give
guidance on the Display & Safety issues for
the research projects that are accredited by
the SRC to be able to join the competition.
They may request students to make
modification to accord to the competition’s
Display & Safety rules.
Display Regulations
The most preferred limited measure of
the project is that all projects should only
have 30 inches in terms of depth (front to
back), 48 inches in terms of width(side to
side) and 108 inches in terms of the
height(floor to top) of the project.
1. All materials to be used in the project
should be appropriate to the given limited
measurement.
2. The tables that are given by the Intel ISEF
will not have more than 36 inches in terms of
height.
3. If the competitors are going to use the
table that was provided then, it will be part of
the project and it will be restricted to
overcome the maximum measurements of
the project.
4. There should not be anything to be inclined
to the hindmost curtain.
5. All demos must be finished within the limits
of the contestant’s booth place.
6. All projects can be prevailed beneath the
table, but this space should not be used for
storage.
Position of Project
The table that was provided on the
competition or unattached display should be
correspondent to and appointed at hindmost
of the curtain of the booth. Projects must not
spare against the hindmost of the curtain.

2.Intel ISEF Project set-up authorization Form
(received on-site at the exhibit)
a. This form files the project as authorized by
the Scientific Review Committee and was
inclined to file the Display & Safety
Committee’s review and decided approval.
b. This form must be signed by the
competitors and the Display & Safety
Committee member at the moment of
investigation.
Additional Forms Required (only when
applicable):
1. Restrained research institutional/industrial
setting form(1C)
a. The Regulated Research
Institutional/Industrial Setting Form (1C) must
be abridged and perpendicular displayed at
the project exhibit.
b. The details prepared by the mentor on
Form 1C can be the base to warrant that the
details prepared on the project board is that
of the finalist.
2. Continuation/Research Progression
Projects Form (7)
a. If an investigation is an extension/research
consecution, the extension/research
consecution projects Form (7) must be
completed and perpendicular exhibited at the
project exhibit.
b. The display board and concept must only
allow the prevailing year’s work. The project
denotation in the competitor’s exhibit can
include the years of prevailing the research.
c. The source of the former work on the
exhibit board should be limited only to
summative former conclusory information and
its comparison to the prevailing year
information set. Raw data from past years
can be involved in the student research
notebooks and/or logbooks if correctly
marked however, it must not be publicly
displayed.
Forms Required at Project but not
Displayed
1. Forms, not including those listed above,
that were necessitated for the Scientific
Review Committee authorization must not be
perpendicularly displayed instead it must be
available in the exhibit in case requested by a
judge or other Intel ISEF official. These forms
involves, but are not measured to, Checklist
for Adult Sponsor (1), Student Checklist(1A),
Research Plan, Approval Form(1B), and a
photograph/video release form.
2. A photograph/video discharge form
authorized by the subject is needed for
optical pictures of humans (other than the
competitors) displayed as halfway of the
project.
Forms NOT to be at the Project Display
Booth or in the Exhibit Hall
Unabridged detailed allowance/agreement
forms for a human competitor study are not to
be demonstrated and must not be extant at
the project demonstration. The competitors
may involve a test form in their logbook or
research notebook but below NO
CIRCUMSISTANCE must be the unabridged
detailed allowance/agreement forms for a
human competitor to be in the Exhibit Hall.
Photograph/Image Display Requirements
1. Any photograph/optical picture/plan/table
and/or graph is authorized if:
a. It is not allowed awful or incorrect (which
involves pictures/photograph revealing
invertebrate or vertebrate animals/humans in
surgical, necrotizing or anatomizing events)
by the Scientific Review Committee, the
Display & Safety Committee, or Society for
Science & the Public.
b. It has a credit range of source
(“Photograph taken by…” or “Image taken
from…”). One credit range is noticeable and
perpendicularly demonstrated on the
backboard/poster or tabletop is sufficient
when all pictures that are displayed were
produced by the competitors or it is from the
same reference.
c. Sample release text: “I consent to the use
of optical pictures (images, videos, etc.)
including my participation/my child’s
participation in this research.”
2. Competitors employing any presentation or
display outmost of a project board should be
qualified to show the entire presentation to
the Display & Safety Inspectors before the
project is approved. All aforesaid rules bear
to this presentation and the presentation
should not be altered in any way after the last
Display & Safety inspection. Samples of
presentation that needs authorization involve,
but is not limited to PowerPoint, Prezi,
Keynote, YouTube, software
program/simulation and other pictures and/or
optical demonstrated on a computer screen
or other non-print release method.
Items/Materials Not Allowed on Display or
at Project Booth
1. Any details on the project demonstration or
materials that are recognitions, self-
promotions or exterior endorsements are not
authorized in the project exhibit. This
Involves:
a. The usage of symbols/logos involving
famous commercial brands, institutional apex
or brands, flags unless essential to the
project and authorized by the SRC via
inclusion in the Original Concept and
Authorization.
b. Personified graphic/logo that is enhanced
to imply a commercial desire or availability of
an authenticated or recommended business
companioned with the project, unless
contestant created in which it may be
demonstrated on the board once only.
c. Any source to an institution or coach that
reinforced your research except as provided
in the official Intel ISEF paperwork most
especially Form 1C.
d. Any source to decide the situation of the
project.
e. Any materials deliberated for the discharge
such as disks, CD, flash drives, brochures,
booklets, endorsements, give-away items,
business cards, or printed materials made to
be distributed to judges or the public are
measured to UNALTERED photocopies of
the original concept and authorization.
2. Any awards or medals excluding for late or
contemporary Intel ISEF medals that may be
suited by the competitors.
3. It is needed also the Postal addresses,
World Wide Web, email and/or social media
addresses, QR codes, telephone and/or fax
numbers of a project or competitor. Note that
the only personal details that is acceptable
that is involved on the demonstration is
details that is also involved on the original
concept and authorization(competitors,
school, city, state, country). Data as to
competitor’s age and grade are prohibited.
4. Email connections and active internet are
also included as part of demonstrating or
functioning the project at the Intel ISEF.
5. It is prohibited by the Display & Safety
Committee and the Scientific Review
Committee to change, add modifications or
additions to projects including any attempt to
uncover, replenish or return removed
language or materials after the authorization.
a. The recording of photographic evidence of
the authorized Project Demonstration and
Project Exhibit will be included on the Display
& Safety inspections.
b. Competitors who do not stick to the
authorized agreement on the Intel ISEF
Project Set-up Approval Form in line with this
regulation will fail to qualify for the
competition.
Safety Regulations
Not Allowed at Project or Booth
Note: In the case in which a competitor’s
project involves a material that is not allowed
from the demonstration, please account
taking photographs and/or filing the

1. Any living organisms involving plants etc.

and sublimating solids such as dry ice and all
other hazardous substances or devices.
11. Filters(including microbial) may not be
displayed unless the Display & Safety
Committee can reasonably identified that the
device was properly cleaned or was never
used(please involve receipts in your
notebooks and/or logbooks) and also
materials that may have or been in contact
with hazardous chemicals except for those
item that is permitted if these are
professionally cleaned and filed for such
cleanings available.
12. Any items that is sharp and may cause
harm (for example, syringes, needles,
pipettes, knives)
13. Highly flammable materials and flames.
14. Batteries which have open-top or wet
cells.
15. Any flight-capable apparatus unless the
propulsion power source removed and also

Underneath of the Abstract & Certification
form, there are six questions in all. The Intel
ISEF Scientific Research Committee

answers to the questions. Once it is
approved, the Intel ISEF will provide two
copies of the Intel ISEF Abstract &
Certification which includes a gold embossed
seal but only this version of the abstract can
be demonstrated or distributed.
Note: The Abstract must only be on the Intel
ISEF Abstract & Certification form and should
have the Intel ISEF Scientific Review
Committee authorized seal before it is
demonstrated or distributed. There will be no
other version of your approved Abstract that
will be allowed for any purpose at the Intel
ISEF.
