TCI Tricone Rock Bit – Opened & Sealed Bearing Type

Lotus' cutting-edge designs and our decision to use only steel of impeccable quality has provided
optimum penetration rates and long runs even in the most difcult and abrasive formations. Weight on
the bits is distributed through a ve anti-friction bearing matched and ground with precision for maximum
durability. Critical areas on the external portion of the bit are protected with a Tungsten Carbide Alloy
hard facing. All sizes of TCI Tricone Bits are available for drilling Soft, Medium-Soft, Medium-Hard, and
Hard formations depending on the style of the drill bit used. They are intended for use in both Blast Hole
& Water-Well Drilling, and are compatible with compressed air, uid circulation, regular, or jet circulation
systems.

Steel Milled Tooth Tricone Rock Bit – Opened & Sealed Bearing Type

Available in all sizes, Lotus' Steel Milled Tooth Tricone Bits are designed to sharpen themselves while
drilling, giving them very high drilling rates from soft to medium hardness. Product selection plays a large
role in performance, with the option for sealed bearing and gauge protection greatly increasing the life
and functionality of the bit. No matter the features chosen, Lotus' Steel Milled Tooth Tricone bits are
renowned for their exceptional performance paired with unbeatable value.

In order to enhance gage holding and seal protection, roller cone bits are available in a variety of shirttail
protection packages for high-angle drilling, abrasive formation, and steerable applications. Theses
shirttail protection packages can be used to tailor bits to meet your drilling needs.

o Motor Hard Facing (M feature) - Consists of a generous application of tungsten carbide,

with hard facing applied to the shirttail lower edge and leading edge of the bit. This
package provides drillers with an enhanced seal protection for the most demanding motor
applications.
o Leading Edge Shirttail Inserts (S feature) - Tungsten Carbide Inserts are placed along the
leading edge of the shirttail. This package provides drillers with additional wear resistance
for motor applications that command a higher RPM or where additional shirttail protection
is needed.
o Stabilization Inserts ® - Enhances standard shirttail patterns for high-angle applications or
in deviation prone formations. It provides the driller with increased bit stabilization and
additional protection for the pressure compensator, especially I high-angle applications or
deviation-prone formations.
o Diamond Enhanced Shirttail Inserts (Z feature) - PCD Capped Inserts are replaced with
Tungsten Carbide Inserts (TCI) in strategic locations. Provides maximum shirttail
protection to drillers in abrasive formations or directional application shirttail protection.
