Course Title : PLANE TRIGONOMETRY Unit Credit : 3 Units Lecture: 3 hrs/week

Course Description :
This course deals with the relation between the sides and angles of triangles and the calculations and measurements based on these sides and angles.
It covers two different approaches, the first approach makes use of trigonometric functions and the second approach makes use of circular functions.

COMPETENCIES:
1. Proficient in proving trigonometric identities.
2. Solve solutions of a right triangle and its application.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
A. Cognitive: Study the properties and applications of the trigonometric functions of angles.
B. Psychomotor: Solve problems about right and oblique triangles using the trigonometric functions.
C. Affective: Appreciate the relevance and applications of mathematics in the real life situations.
Display desirable traits like curiosity, neatness, orderliness and positive thinking.
