Chapter ii Computers began from a wild imaginative idea to the
world’s highly prioritized tool. Computers today are now used as a
substitute to manual processes and other past inventions like the
radio, television, etc. people for much simpler, easier, and faster way
to do things now use it. Some used it as a hobby, and some use it as
a job. Technology has never stopped from advancing through the
years. Its innovations helps answer the people’s further complex
questions. Why not use these advantages to benefit ourselves? Many
people use computers in their daily lives. Some use it for transactions,
some use it for educational purposes, and others use it for data
storage. However, it might sound unnecessary but in some cases
when storing a file for such big company, can you manage it properly?
Organizing, finding a file, etc. with computers, it can help you simplify
the process of storing and managing the files, you need for future use
and make finding files easier than the manual process. “computerized
systems have been installed in most modern retail store to speed
sales transaction and automatically update inventory records as the
stocks of each item are reduced”. These innovations are based on the
call of the Universal Product Code(1973). The first thing to be
considered in a system is to analyze and understand the system. “A
system is a regularly interacting interdependent group of the elements
forming a unified whole. Thus, the system is collection of related parts
treated as a unit where its components interact. (Silver, 1992).
After understanding what is a system is, the next thing to do is to know
the problems that need a solution. “System Analysis an Design is a
complex, challenging and stimulating organizational process that a
team business and system professional’s user develop and maintain a
computer based information (Kendall & Kendall, 2002). Dennis, Wixon
and David Tegarden, on System Analysis and Design, PP. 371.

Jeffrey H. Transaction Processing Systems (TPS) support everyday
operations of the business, providing detailed information such as
status reports, action documents, and displays. The primary objectives
in the transaction processing system are accuracy, rapid response,
and ease of use. Provided by the book of knowledge (1194), computer
is defined as an apparatus built to perform routine calculation, in
accordance to this statement, Encyclopedia Britannica (1998), that
computer is any various automatic electronic devices that solve
problems by processing data according to instructions. In exploration,
we find new techniques, new knowledge, even develop new
substances, gadgets, equipment, processes or procedures,
imagination and skill is employed by the researcher. The commodities,
new devices, services, in technology are needs of man for a better
fuller life which is concern of the research. These useful arts are the
products of the technological environment and the end-user is society
in general. The excerpt was stated by Josefina Estolas in the book
Fundamentals of Research. (1995). According to Gerald A. Silver and
Myrna L. Silver, Book Entitled System Analysis and Design, PP 5-7.
Business system is a collection of policies, procedures, methods,
people, machines, and other elements that interact and enable
organization to rich in goals. Business System often includes
marketing, personnel, production, finance, and distribution elements.
An important task of the Business System is the managing and
coordinating function. Review related studies Cost leadership strategy
is based upon a business organizing and managing its valueadding
activities so as to be the lowest cost producer of a product within an
industry (Campbell, 2002). Cost advantage may achieve in terms of
how product or services is designed or in terms of its quality.
Differentiation strategy is based upon persuading customers that a
product is superior to that offered by competitors(Campbell, 2002).
The value added by the uniqueness of the product or services may
allow the company to charge a premium price to it. However, the
danger associated with differentiation may include by competitors and
changes in customers taste. In Business strategies, it is important that
the management be able to identify the needs of the business. In this
regard, the adaptive competency approach to needs analysis is based
upon Kolb (1984) Experiential Learning Theory (ELT) which allows
one to view the person (employee) and job in commensurate terms.
The cornerstone of this approach is that learning, adaption, and
problem-solving processes are similar and that
all jobs involve each of these processes. Therefore, if one describes
both the person’s adaptive skills and job requirements in learning
terms, then one can identify and describe the adaptive or interactive
processes that occur in the work setting. Many businesses apply
computerized system for some reasons. According to Troyer (1985). A
business man who used a Smart Ops software, a computerized
system is easy to understand, straightforward to implement, and can
handle the variety of customer demand and other changes that occur
in the business over time. Review related studies (Local) The
development and growth of business organization due to the
industrialization. The rise of big corporations gave a large volume and
variety of operations from the kinds of management to the sizes of
labor force, businessmen were encouraged by the government to start
or expand their own businesses. Some companies even spent money
to train Filipinos here and abroad to help in the industrialization and
computerization program brought about modern innovations and new
concepts. Businesses in the metropolis are more established
compared in other parts of the country, because it provides them a
communication channel between the people, the government, and
other companies. Trends mostly formed here because of the influx of
new concepts generated by people hired by the company.
