1. Name at least five skills that can a teacher should have to be able to come up with an effective board displays. Elaborate why each skill is needed. The five skills that a teacher should have in order to come up with an effective board displays are the following: a. Creative Thinking Skill -This skill is needed on the part of the teacher because this skill provides the idea on how to design the board effectively with the value of resourcefulness and concentration through his/her different techniques, cleverness and purposeful ideas to make the board presentable to people. b. Critical Thinking Skill - This skill also provides the analysis on how to come up with a reasonable ideas which gives support to the skill of being creative. This skill is a way on how to conceptualize and give meaning to every idea which make the board display effective. c. Systematic Exploration - The ability of the teacher to discover things on how to make board display which helps his/her to become an expert explorer and develop his/her knowledge and skills to become more competent in making bard display. d. Technical Skill - This skills are the actual performance and behavior of the teacher on how to make the board effective through systematic action, procedural steps/process and valuable manipulation of the working system. e. Interpreter - This skill is very important on the part of the teacher because this skill makes the teacher more efficient on how to make board displays effectively. This ability ensures teacher’s expertise to become a productive board display maker if he/she would be able to construe the content of the board through the implementation of his/her other skills. 2. Which of the skills you named in number (#1) do you already have? Recall your past experiences in making board displays. How do you practice these skill? From the number one question, I can’t say that I have them all but if I’ll try to recall my past experiences in making board displays since my first time to make a bulletin board, I have already practiced these skills through an application of each skill I have discussed above. Each skill is really applicable when it comes to board displays because after making the bulletin board. I had undergone such evaluation and from those different evaluations of everyone we have encountered that I have those kinds of skills w/c makes my work possible and presentable to them. From those skills, it develops my other skills w/c have something to do with my other skills to become profitable on my part as a future teacher. 3. Which skill do I still need to develop? What concrete steps will you take on how you can improve on or acquire these skills?
I think the skills that I need more to develop are the skills that others would suggest to make my other skills improve its own. And the steps that I will take in order to improve and acquire more skills would be my permanent skills w/c provide the steos to follow and also to accept the ideas of the other people in order to come up with an effective board displays.
My Reflections JUNA MAE U. MILLAN Put yourself in the place of the teacher, what would you do similarly and what would you do differently if you would teach the lesson to the same group of students? If I will try to put myself to the place of the teacher, I will do the same and apply things I observed w/c makes my students more comfortable to acquire the knowledge and skills I am teaching to them. I will also be a progressivist teacher to focus on the development of my students but I would not the same strategies and techniques applied by the teacher because I have my own strategies and techniques to apply as a future teacher w/c I know that it’ll develop my teaching styles in order to deliver the lessons articulately and to become more effective to the learners.
