Brief Overview of Training: -
Main motive behind taking training at S.S.T.P.S. was to get familiar with the
branch. In India near about 65% of total power generation is from Thermal power
plant. S.S.T.P.S. Generating capacity is 1250MW. In thermal power plant
production of steam is done with the help of combustion of coal & this steam is
used for the motion of turbine. Mechanical energy of turbine is transmitted to turbo
generator which results in electrical o/p. It was the study of generation of
electricity.

Brief Overview of Training: During this 45 Days training we study about the
distribution of electricity to consumers. It was complete study distributing,
sensing & protecting (Switchgear) equipments.
