PRONOUN

Case

If your instructor tells you that you have problems with pronoun case, that means
that you're using the incorrect forms of pronouns in sentences. In general, pronouns
have three cases: subjective, objective, and possessive.

• Use the subjective case when the pronoun is the subject of a verb (the person
or thing that is doing something).

• Use the objective case when the pronoun is the object of a verb (the person or
thing to which something is being done) or is the object of a preposition ( for,
to, about, etc.).

• Use the possessive case when the pronoun is the possessor of something.
