Today, Islam and Muslims always oppose negative headlines in mainstream

media. Terror attacks are always addressed to Islam as accused. Islam and
Muslims are always considered, until proven otherwise. Islam is often seen
as a cause of radicalism, extremism and terrorism.

In studios conducted by Georgia State University, terrorists from non-

Muslims need to do seven times more to get the same coverage in the media
than if they were Muslim.

Making Islam as a scapegoat is simpler, surpassing the core of political

and complaining problems that resonate in the Islamic world, namely
overcoming government in Muslim countries, overcoming US foreign affairs,
supporting the West against authoritarian rulers, invasions and occupation
in Muslim lands, or supporting Israeli occupation in Palestine.

Islamophobia approves phobias, it is a way of regulating structural support

and being supported by the state.

Islamophobia is a war, a war that is not declared, activated hidden, and

unspoken. However, if we look at it, we can ask for strategies and security
policies in the West at this time. The focus is on the war against
"radicalization" which was presented as a war against "extreme" Islam.

What if we change the ways in which anti-extremist projects are carried out
globally, we see behind the mask of anti-extremism that actually is an
existential war against Islam itself.

This is a conflict that will continue to be updated. All over the world,
wherever Muslims are

We will realize that since the beginning of the War Against Terror was
rolled out, abroad and domestically, violence did not diminish. This is
because counterterrorism and counter-radicalization strategies do not
really address the causes of violence. The strategy assumes that violence
is ultimately caused by the fact that someone is Muslim.

Therefore, in the assumption of the program, anyone who is Muslim can

become a perpetrator of violence. This is a framework that has been built
on counterterrorism programs.

That is why we often find the view that the more "Islamic" someone looks,
the more his tendency towards violence and the more he suspects it. A man
with Islamic-looking features who leave his bag unattended on the train for
a moment makes him more suspicious than others who do not have similar
characteristics.

This is because being or looking like a Muslim is a real crime, not because
he leaves things unattended. Such suspicion, conscious or not, is now
attached to the way the government behaves, which is reinforced by a number
of rules, campaigned at schools and universities that are encouraged to
report "suspicious" behavior, and reproduced by the media when discussing
Islam and Muslims.
