ABSTRACT

College Management System that is of importance to either an educational

institution or a college. This system may be used for monitoring for the college.
Staffs logging in may also access or can be search any of the information regarding
college. Staff and students as well as marks of the students will be updated by staff.
This College Management System is being developed for an college to maintain and
facilitate easy access to information. For this the users must be registered with the
system after which they can access as well as modify data as per the permissions
given to them. This system can be used as a knowledge/information management
system for the college. For a given student/staff (teaching/ Non- teaching Staffs) can
access the system to some information from the database.

INTRODUCTION OF THE COLLEGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The title of the project is “COLLEGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR

COLLEGE” is defined as an application based on management providing
information within an organization. This system can be used as a information
management system for the college. For a given staff (teaching/ Non- teaching
Staffs),Course, student, Time table the Administrator creates login id & password,
using these staff (teaching/ Non- teaching Staffs), student can access the system to
either add or update some information from the database.

The main objective of college management system is to not automate of

functionalities of a college. Using this system you can manage college management
work like Staff details, students details, Time table, Course details, sport, library.
Using this college management system you can view or update data and information
about staff and students easily. This system helps in managing the activities.

PURPOSE OF DOCUMENT

This document is the Software Requirement Specification for the College

Management System for College project .The purpose of this document is to
describe the functionality, requirements and general interface of the College
Management System.

Staff: This contains the number of staff available in each department.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

Performance requirements are:

 Good working pc with all requirements as stated in the hardware interfaces.

 Works for medium size information databases.
 Should not be overloaded.

DESIGN CONSTRAINTS

 Administrator can access this software only after entering the appropriate user
id and password.
