 CO2 is approximately 50% heavier than air & 0.03% by volume present in the
atmosphere.
 Certain Conc. Will support human or animal life.
 Extinguishes fire by reducing oxygen content & will not support combustion.
 Temp. of CO2 from Nozzle -110°F(-78.8°C).

CO SYSTEM
Carbon Monoxide gas
It is originated in some combustion's that take place everyday in our lives, such as coal & wood
burners and especially gasses emitted from petrol driven motors.
CO system consists of both detectors and control panel with capability of detecting and
measuring the CO gas concentration(ppm) at any time.
CO Air conc. Symptons Time of inhalation
200 ppm Light headache 2 -3 hrs.
400 ppm Dizzy 2-3 hrs.
800 ppm Faint 45 min.
1600 ppm Dead 20 min.
3200 ppm Dead 5 – 10 min.
6400 ppm Dead 10-15 min.
12800 ppm Dead 1 – 3 min.
Application:
 Residential homes.
 Workshop
 Underground Car parks.
 Tunnels…
CO Panel is micro-processor based available in 1,2,3 & 4 zones. Each zone has 12 programmable
ventilation levels and 12 for alarms. Each zone is capable of carrying 14 sensors through
3x1.5mm2 cable.
 Power supply : 8 -20 V DC 15 V nominal
Max. Power consumption : 80mA.
 Standby consumption : 10mA.
DETECTOR:
 Heating period consumption : 138mA.
 Cooling period consumption : 22mA.
 Normal resolution: 9 ppm at 20°C.

 Nominal Range: from 0 to 300 ppm.

 No. of detectors : 14 x 4 zones = 56 detectors.
 Ventilation & Alarm lvls. = 12 programmable lvls in 10 ppm steps from 20 – 100 ppm
& 50 steps from 100 – 250.
 Memory = 300 events.
 Max. cable length = 150 mtrs between central unit and the detectors.
 Response speed = 150 seconds.
 Mounting: Wall & ceiling mounting ( about 2 mtr height).
 Coverage : 300m2.
PROGRAMMING :
1. Ventilation level.
2. Alarm level.
3. Alarm memories.
4. Ventilation Alarm.
5. Disconnection memories.
6. Calibration.
7. Lines test.
