II. Course Core Curriculum
Course Description (Slight introduction):
This is a course that explores the assessment of materials and structural deficiency using field test or analytical
methods, repair and strengthening materials, strengthening and repair techniques, strengthening of
structural members in flexure, shear and axial load, and upgrading of gravity load designed buildings for
earthquake load resistance.
Description of Delivery Mode:
Providing videos for retrofitting and rehabilitation procedures; Material samples used for retrofitting tasks.
Design activities (if exists):
Case study / Real Case project; Appropriate Software to design the new elements.
