Panluan is one of the sitios found at Barangay Hagan, 12 kilometers away from barangay proper. Riding
on the motorcycle through rugged cliff and thick vegetation is the fastest way to reach this place. Located on
the upland community of Buhid and Bangon Mangyan of West proper. This place founded on the North by
Naswak and on the west by Sitio Balite.

Panluan is covered by ancestral domain and it is inhabited by a large number of indigenous people
whose source of living are rising animals and farming which are mainly marginal. Large portion of agriculture
produced by the people of this are for their own consumption and only a little portions is sold to market. As a
result, majority of the living in this place are indigent just like any other communities of Hagan.

School children of this Barangay Hagan, sitio Panluan and nearby sitios who are mostly teens have to
bear the difficult terrain daily just to attend classes in the nearest public high school. This situation hinders
some students to attend classes regularly and eventually opted to stop schooling. As a result, most of the
people in the community are illiterate. If such situation continues, no significant economics can be expected
in this place.

In connection with this, the Formon National High School in the person of Nonato M. Sarmiento,
conduct feasibility study on how to help children of Barangay Hagan in sitio Panluan and nearby sitio, and the
solution is to put up Extension classes in High School and the aim of this are:

1. to cater the graduate of 6 elementary school in this barangay

2. to reduce the out of school youth
3. to avoid involvement of our children in arm conflict
4. to prepare the students to have a better future

But, opening of extension classes is very hard, because we do not have enough resources. As
of now we started the classes from Grade 7 to 8 for students in Formon National High School- Hagan
Extension, temporarily they are using 2 classrooms in Panluan Elementary School.

Currently, we are improving/constructing the said project and needed help in this matter. We
are tapping/requesting help in any foundations that can help us in our objectives that mainly focuses
in helping the students achieve the quality education they deserve.

And with this, we are asking for your kind heart to be with us in this endeavour. With your
resources and helping hands and our efforts we can change the lives of the 144 students who are
studying in our extension school under the supervision of 5 volunteer teachers. The needs of the school
are as follows:
1. Classroom – a 9 meter by 42 meter dimensions which is equivalent to 6 classrooms.
2. Temporary Shelter- another room for temporary shelter of the students especially during
rainy season.
3. School supplies for almost 144 students.

the site where the proposed classroom will rise.
