Conclusion

As a conclusion, thermoelectric generator coverts heat flux directly into electrical energy
through Seebeck effect. TEG can be used in power plants to convert waste heat into additional
electric power and in automobiles as automotive thermoelectric generators to increase fuel
efficiency as well as radioisotope thermoelectric generators which are used in space probes. But TEG
is one of the least efficient module. For every unit of heat energy moved or converted into useful
energy, 19 units of additional heat energy need to be accounted for, otherwise the device will heat
up and will not work well .

During the experiment, the fan was able to run with the voltage obtain from temperature
difference. The objective of this experiment was determined. Electricity was generated by using
thermoelectric module. Based on the experiment results, the initial recorded voltage was 0.20 V
until it reaches to maximum recorded 0.34 V. This amount of voltage was capable and enough to run
the fan. Therefore this experiment was considered successful. The efficiency of this experiment
escalates as the number of candles increases. Addition of heat source can make bigger temperature
difference then generate bigger voltage. Besides, there several issues occurred throughout the
experiment that might affect the reading which was leakage in the cooler box and the two
aluminium sheet that was in contact as well as surrounding factors and number of candles that
causes less efficiency in absorbing heat. Despite all these problems, the experiment was successfully
conducted
