Relentless. If there could be one modifier that depicts our speaker this morning is the word relentless.

Being a consistent honor student from his elementary until he graduated in college, this lad is undeniably
a force to reckon with.

He stood by his mantra “reach for your dreams even if you will stand on a cactus ‘’ as he lived and worked
on a life in all its perplexity. Because his mother was a teacher, he tried to fit on this big shoe and as
expected he was well -loved because of his brilliance. His assiduous determination led him to his job in
the present as a Nurse 2 in the Schools division of Cagayan. And also , the coordinator of the Division
National Drug Education Program.

He was awarded as one of the outstanding employees of 2018 but this does not mean that he rested on
his laurels. The recognition made he more persistent to his career as he is one of the members of the
medical team reaching out the remotest areas in Baggao to conduct One Health Week and providing these
underprivileged Agtas medical, dental and nursing care.

Truly, this individual is embellished with wisdom gained from his experience and has a mark of true public
servant touching the hearts of many. Ladies and gentlemen, let us give a resounding applause to this
year’s nutrition speaker, Mr. Marco Paul Velasco.
