Farm land in the record of Rights (Form VII)

 The land of Livestock Development and Research Farm

for Kundhi Buffaloes Rohri is actually the property of
forest department and it is owned by livestock and
fisheries department, Government of Sindh on lease basis.
 Due to not paying the remaining amount/dues of the leased
land, there is no entry of the land in the record of rights
(Form VII).

Bottle necks
 The land of Kundhi buffaloes farm fall in between the
national highway and Indus river protective bund, during
rains the area is badly hit by the rain and river water and
there is no any drain out for this water to be drained. This
problem further increased the seepage water.
 As such the area is converted in to water logging portion,
the result is minimum one crop season is missed, there by
effecting the revenue returns.
 Machinery required for the livestock farm i.e. paddy/
wheat thrashers, which are now being arranged on rent
basis. So, it is not economical.
 Reconstruction or rebuilding of veterinary officer office,
stock assistant room, concentrate ration storage room,
milk record room, medicine room etc.
 Thought-provoking of fresh and clean water availability
for the animals due to electricity issue/short fall.
 Lacking computer and printer facility, Postmortem kit
which includes all the necessary instruments (i.e. scissors,
knife, scalpel, artery forceps, tooth forceps, blades etc.),
Sample collection apparatus and preservatives (i.e. sample
bottles, bijou bottles, ice box, vacutainers and formalin
etc.) and Instruments/tools/ apparatus/ i.e. burdizo
castrator, permanent Z tag marker, drenching guns etc. are
highly required at the farm.

SUGGESTIONS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE FARM

 As it is evident form the land position that more than 47%
of the farmland is undeveloped and consequently un-
cultivated and require immediate bulldozing and leveling.
To develop this land it is proposed that the development
work may be scheduled in such a way that 100 acres land
should be bulldozed each year.
 The efforts should be made to organize the cemented
water courses at the farm.
 At this farm, canal water supply is non perennial. At
present there is shortages of irrigation water in both
seasons, three tube wells are in working condition. So two
more tube wells are required to fulfil the shortage problem
of the water.
 The condemn agriculture machinery & vehicles may be
disposed-off & new machinery Should be provided.
 Old age & off type animals may be auctioned and new
pure Kundhi buffaloes Should be provided.
 A new water course may be sectioned for Deh Mari.
 Two new weighing machines may be provided to record
the live weight of livestock animals.
 The budget provided for purchase of concentrate ration,
seed and fertilizers is not sufficient.
 Boundary wall around the whole farm. New sheds should
be constructed & all the old sheds need to be repaired.
 Dropped the income target because this is a Research
institute.
