1 introduction:
Managing Human Resources is one of the priorities of Prime Bank in which “Recruitment &
Selection’ receives critical attention. The aim of this Recrutment & Selection Policy, 2017 is
to ensure objectivity, transparency, diversity and also accountability in the Recruliment,
Selection and Appointment process of all employees inthe Bank.
2 General Rules for Recruitment:

Every recruitment should be as. per manpower planning approved by the MD/AMD/DMD/
Functional Heads. Employees who have been dismissed by any previous organizations on
disciplinary grounds and/or have any pending charges or who are dismissed/terminated
will not be considered for hiring. Exceptions can be made for bonafide retrenchments. No
person shall be appointed to any post in the services of the Bank unless he/she |s 2 citizen
of Banglagesh/or has valid work permit. At the time of joining, every incumbent must
complete the necessary forms and documents and sign the declaration. In case of fresh
entrants, candidates must not be over 30 years of age on the date of application closing for
press advertisement or onthe date of Whitten Test for direct recruitment. No incumbent
shall be appointed in the services of the Bank unless he/she (@) undergoes Bank's
prescribed pre-employment medical tests from enlisted Diagnostic Centers and is declared
physically fit by @ certified Medical Practitioner (0) submits a formal Release Order/
Acceptance or recelved copy of Resignation from the immediate past employer before
accepting the Appointment Letter from Prime Bank. if any certificate or supporting
document Sumitted by the candidate as evidence in support of his/her candidature 3s
mentioned in his/her CV is found fakevalsefatricatedforged, may necessitate disciplinary
action or the employment contract of that employee shall stand cancelled and may lead to
termination of contract. Candidates who have been convicted of any cnminal or anti-soctal
activity will not be considered for hiring. Internal S0uUrce, Where appropriate and if
required, the Bank will advertise vacancies internally. Upon receiving approval for the
vacant position, Human Resources Division may advertise the available position internally.
All internal applicants should forward an “Application for internal Vacancy" (Annexure-A),
to the Head of HR for acknowledgement, consideration and processing. Internal applicants
who possess the required skills, qualifications and work-elated experience, as specified in
the internal advertisement, may be interviewed for the position (refer to 6.2 for detail). The
service under the Bank shall commence from the day on which an employee reports for
joining at the HRD and time intimated to him/her by the competent authority if he/she
reports before noon (12 PM). There should not be any conflict of interest in the recruitment
of an employee. An employee must declare prior to joining the bank fi they have any Blood
relative or any relation in the Bank and they cannot be placed In the same
@visiondepatmentoranch. No TE-DA will be admissible in connection with any journey
undertaken by @ candidate in joining duties for the first time. The Bank reserves the right
to amend of cancel any appointment letter issued to an employee at any time without
stating any reason. Any Appointment letter is conditional upon background verification.
Any adverse report may result in cancellation of his/her employment with the Bank.
Documentation requirements: Candidates are required to submit the following
documents/papers and certificates in original photocopies duly attested by any First Class
Gazetted Officer! Bank Executive (AVP and above) at the time of joining the Bank (Originals
will be returned after verification). a. All academic certificates. 6. Training certificates (if
any) c. O4 four) copies of recent passport size photographs. d. National Identity card/
Passport! Nationality certificate from Union Parisad/ Pourashava/ Ward) City Corporation.
eB. Pelease Order/Experience certificate/acceptance of received copy of Resignation from
present employer along wath Experience Certificate and Last Salary Certificate (all in
original) (f applicable}. . Copy oflatest tax return if any) / TIN certificate, g. 1 COpy passport
size photograph of nominee for Provident Fund, Welfare Fund and Gratuity benefits duly
attested by themselves. h. A Medical Certificate from a weil reputed registered Medical
Practitioner retating to physical and mental fitness along the test reports as per the Banks
nominated list (Contact HR for detailed list) of the diagnostics
3 Recruitment Sources: The Bank will utilize the following two approaches to source
candidates to cater to the manpower requirement of the Bank:
3.1 Extemal Sources:
Prime Bank will use external sources where appropriate human resources are not available
internally; the Bank will collect references from external sources in the market to cater to
the need of the organization.
The channels that may be used to source external candidates can be i} Online Job
adverisement/ job portal, i) Prime ank Website, ill) Social Media/Network, iv) Print media,
v) Executive search or Recruitment Agency, vi) Referrals (both internal and extemal
sources) and vil) Campus recruitment ete.
32s internal Sources:
Where available, Prime Bank will promote its Internal resources to other departments
through comprehensive internal recruiiment process. Where appropriate, at the request of
the hiring division, the Bank will advertise vacancies Internally as per criteria and other
terms and conditions set by Management including but not limited to the following:
