• Introduction
Resort is a place to spent holiday for relaxation and recreation so that, one can
give dynamismto their leisure time.A resort is a full-service lodging facility that
provides accessto or offers a range of amenities and recreation facilities to
emphasize a leisure experience.Resorts serve as the primary provider of the guests
experience, often provide services for business and meetings, and are
characteristically located in vacation-oriented settings.

• Aims & Objectives

To design a space for leisure activities along the sea-side for the people to
stay, experience and enjoy. Resort is a place of luxury, comfort and relaxation with
peace of mind. One feels relaxed and peaceful in natures lap.
• Motivation
Resort can be classified into several categories and have guidelines to rate them,
but accordingto service provided by them, it could be day resort with recreational
facilities like, spa, sports,sauna, health and cuisine facilities with several restaurant,
bars, and various other amenities.

• Objectives and Scope and Limitations

To study and understand various relaxing spaces with a scenic view of the beach.
To design a space with different recreational activities considering water as a key
factor of the design.
Provide one signature amenity or anchor attribute
Provide five secondary recreation/leisure/entertainment experiences
Provide one full-service food & beverage outlet
Bed-base must include short-term or overnight lodging
Emphasize a leisure or retreat-environment experience

• Description of the research work

This concept to be very interesting and unique unlike all the other beach resorts,
which tend to put all their focus into the luxury and comfort and not on the cultural
aspect of the place, which makes the whole idea of visiting a holiday destination
incomplete. I would like to design a resort which provides the comfort and the
cultural experience of the destination which will help tourists and locals alike and
design it in a traditional Goan architecture style which embodies all of Goa and it's
culture.Signature amenities are amenities, attractions, and geographically
significant attributes that aresort requires to provide in order to be considered as a
resort. These include, for example:golf, ski/mountain, beach/ocean, lakeside,
casino/gaming, all inclusiveness,spa/health/wellness, marina, tennis, and Water
Park. For property-generated or fabricatedamenities, they need to be considered
full service to be a signature amenity.
