the same folder.
Now, the Patient Browser Preferences allows users to choose and specify the default application for opening a CAD/CAM, CS
Restore, or CS Model image. In addition, the feature adds security when deleting processes by making it an optional feature
that can be deactivated (by default).
The Imaging Window also supports CS 8100 / CS 8100 3D bitewing images, which can be inserted into a dedicated template
“PanoBitewing” from which it is possible to reposition the bitewings by panning those (one at a time or both images
simultaneously) so as to only display the meaningful elements as per a bitewing image.
As for US FDA needs, the About window now also carries a Unique Device Identifier (UDI) that specifically identifies the software
version.
Finally, the Demo toolbar is an option installed for tradeshow purposes that now includes the CS 8100 product range.
The Demo toolbar is not available in the list during the CS imaging suite installation.
However, you can install it manually from the DVD in the folder “Support\Tools”

NEW FEATURES
New Patient Browser replaces the previous Patient File of Dental Imaging Software (DIS).
It allows user to search for any patient quickly by using the patient search engine.
User can now see all of a patient’s images in the integrated image gallery.
User can launch the extra-oral image acquisition interface directly.
User can even manage image files for export/import/printing, as well as drag & drop images for export.
The Imaging Window of CS Imaging is directly issued from Carestream’s Dental Imaging Software (DIS). It ensures to the user a smooth
transition from Carestream’s Dental Imaging Software (DIS) to CS Imaging version 7.
New intuitive icons now share the same icon design with all other CS software solutions.
These new icons simplify the transition by maintaining the same icon location as in DIS.
The new stylish black radiographic background enhances the user’s diagnostic experience by highlighting the images in
front of a black background. It intensifies the details of the images. Details of the images can furthermore be highlighted
by a large choice of filters.
With CS Imaging, users can manage and analyze a vast array of digital images while using the same workflow or tools
as in DIS.
All of these features minimize the amount of user disruption when transitioning from DIS to CS Imaging version 7.
