JUSTIFICACIÓN
Ahora bien, para favorecer la estructura curricular y didáctica del Plan de Estudios Bilingüe
(P.E.B.) del COLEGIO BILINGÜE LA CONSOLATA, hemos decidido acoger tres referentes
externos que nos servirán de apoyo para nuestro desarrollo bilingüe. Ellos son:
El MCER: Proporciona una base común, aplicable en cualquier parte del mundo, para la
elaboración de programa de lenguas, orientaciones curriculares, exámenes, manuales, etc.
Describe de forma integradora lo que tienen que aprender a hacer los estudiantes de lenguas con
el fin de utilizar una lengua para comunicarse, así como los conocimientos y destrezas que tienen
que desarrollar para poder actuar de manera eficaz en un ambiente angloparlante para el caso
del inglés.
El Marco de Referencia define, así mismo, niveles de dominio de la lengua que permiten
comprobar el progreso de los alumnos en cada fase de aprendizaje y a lo largo de su vida.
Se pretende que bajo este Marco de Referencia, los estudiantes del COLEGIO BILINGÜE LA
CONSOLATA y sus maestros implicados en el aprendizaje y enseñanza del inglés comprendan
la planificación y ejecución de los programas de aprendizaje de la lengua inglesa en función de:
Articular los programas teniendo en cuenta los aprendizajes previos de los estudiantes, sobre
todo en la transición entre la educación primaria, la básica secundaria y la media académica
como preparación a la educación superior.
Sus objetivos.
Sus contenidos.
La planificación de los procesos de evaluación en función de:
La descripción de los contenidos de los exámenes.
Los criterios de evaluación sobre la base del rendimiento positivo más que de las
insuficiencias.
Para las especificidades del P.E.I. del COLEGIO BILINGÜE LA CONSOLATA, el MCER debe ser
integrado y coherente.
El término integrado se refiere a que el Marco de Referencia debe intentar especificar una serie
de conocimientos, destrezas, así como el uso del inglés de una forma tan amplia como sea posible
y a que todos los usuarios puedan describir bien sus objetivos de aprendizaje.
El término coherente se refiere a que la descripción de los programas está libre de contradicciones
internas. Por lo menos, en el COLEGIO BILINGÜE LA CONSOLATA se debe garantizar en los
programas del currículo Bilingüe, coherencia entre:
La identificación de necesidades.
La determinación de los objetivos.
La definición de los contenidos.
La selección o creación de material.
El establecimiento de programas de aprendizaje y enseñanza.
Los métodos didácticos de enseñanza y aprendizaje empleados.
La evaluación, los exámenes y las valoraciones (calificaciones) o reportes parciales.
“El uso de la lengua (en nuestro caso el inglés), comprende las acciones que realizan las personas
que, como individuos y como agentes sociales, desarrollan una serie de competencias, tanto
generales como competencias comunicativas lingüísticas, en particular. Las personas utilizan las
competencias que se encuentran a su disposición en distintos contextos y bajo distintas
condiciones y restricciones, con el fin de realizar actividades de la lengua que conllevan procesos
para producir y recibir textos relacionados con temas en ámbitos específicos, poniendo en juego
las estrategias que parecen más apropiadas para llevar a cabo las tareas que han de realizar. El
control que de estas acciones tienen los participantes produce el esfuerzo o la modificación de
sus competencias” (MCER, pág. 9).
En relación con el párrafo anterior, citado textualmente de MCER, es bueno aclarar que, de
acuerdo con la estructura curricular del COLEGIO BILINGÜE LA CONSOLATA, hay que hacer
énfasis en los siguientes conceptos, para poder tener más claridad sobre el enfoque activo y
comunicativo que pretendemos adoptar.
Las competencias Generales: Son todas aquellas que posee la persona, no necesariamente
de carácter cognitivo o lingüístico, pero a las que se pueden recurrir para acciones de todo
tipo.
Las competencias Comunicativas: Son las que posibilitan a una persona actuar utilizando
específicamente medios lingüísticos.
Una Tarea: Se define como cualquier acción intencionada que se debe realizar para conseguir
un resultado concreto en cuanto a la resolución de un problema, el cumplimiento de una
obligación o la consecución de un objetivo.
Las competencias lingüísticas: Incluyen los conocimientos y las destrezas léxicas, fonológicas
y sintácticas.
Las competencias pragmáticas: Tienen que ver con el uso funcional de los recursos lingüísticos
sobre la base de guiones o escenarios de intercambios comunicativos. También tienen que ver
con el dominio del discurso, la cohesión y la coherencia, la identificación de tipos y formas de
textos, la ironía y la parodia. Aquí hay que tener muy en cuenta el entorno cultural.
Teniendo como referencia estos tres tipos de competencias es desde donde se debe estructurar
la acción comunicativa del proceso bilingüe en el COLEGIO BILINGÜE LA CONSOLATA,
apoyándonos, además, en las tareas, las estrategias didácticas y los textos.
Por lo anterior, es que el enfoque para el aprendizaje y la enseñanza del inglés en el COLEGIO
BILINGÜE LA CONSOLATA se centra fundamentalmente en la acción y en la comunicación.
De ahí que la esencia sea fijarse en la relación existente entre, por un lado, el uso que los agentes
hacen de las estrategias ligadas a sus competencias y la manera en que perciben o imaginan la
situación y por otro lado, la tarea o las tareas que hay que realizar en un contexto específico bajo
condiciones concretas.

JUSTIFICACIÒN
Esta asignatura da entrada a que los estudiantes se relacionen con la gramática y las diferentes
clases de textos que propone la literatura inglesa. Por otro lado, los estudiantes, desarrollan sus
habilidades de comprensión y análisis. Esta asignatura los ayuda a adquirir vocabulario necesario
para aprobar los niveles propuestos por el por el Marco Común Europeo para el aprendizaje de
Inglés como segunda lengua.
En acuerdo con el proyecto educativo institucional del Colegio Bilingüe la Consolata y el Plan de
bilingüismo, Language Arts prepara a los alumnos para las temáticas que abarcarán durante su
bachillerato. Los ayudará a enfrentarse a textos y estructuras más complejas y que tienen relación
con las áreas básica del aprendizaje.
PROPÓSITOS DE FORMACIÓN
Los propósitos dela asignatura de Language Arts están regidos según los lineamientos y
estándares que el Ministerio de Educación Nacional (MEN), Cambridge International
Examinations (CIE) y el Marco Común Europeo para las lenguas propone para la formación de
niños que sean capaces de comunicarse, entender y desarrollar ejercicios de producción oral y
escrita en inglés como su segunda lengua. Para que esto se lleve a cabo efectivamente, es
necesario que los estudiantes adquieran el conocimiento que los ayudará a llevar sus habilidades
al máximo nivel, para lo cual la asignatura de Language Arts propone lo siguiente:

estrechamente, que son esenciales para su éxito futuro.

estudiantes para que tengan la capacidad de:
