First year probationary, after 1 year, change of status to permanent, which can be applied 2-4
months before the expiration of the first year.

notarized letter of application of Filipino spouse ( please see below for draft)
Notarized general application form [ consolidated general application form] can be DL
from the BI site.
Mom’s NSO Birth certificate ( I can request this from the Philippine Statistics Authority)
PSA issued marriage certificate
Copy of pops’s passport ( + arrival date)
Certificate from Labanon’s brgy. Captain ( that pops and mom are living together)
CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY the bureau
US Police Clearance- ( since pops has not been in PH for more than 6months)
NBI clearance ( appointment done online. I can apply this. Application can take abt 3
days https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/)

- Pops will have to stay in PH during the entire time that the visa application is being processed.
- Once the above requirements are submitted, the 2 of you will be scheduled for an interview.
- After the interview, pops’ biometrics will be taken and ACR will be issued
Addendum:
- ACR can be applied after the issuance of 13A visa. Renewal every 5 years;
- Must report to the Bureau of Immigration every year. Preferably the first 60 days of every year

Requirements:
Balikbayan visa is easier and cheaper than 13A. This will give you 1 year visa to stay in PH. You
can get it when you enter the pinas, provided that you will be accompanied by mom when you
enter PH and that the 2 of you will be going through the immigration together. You will only
need to present your PSA issued marriage certificate.
