Job description — Strategic Account Manager

SafeSize is a start-up, based in Almere, committed to help people find that perfect shoe every
single time. We have created a way to make a 3D scan of your foot and match that profile with
our own (and the world’s largest) database of 3D-scanned shoes. Add to that some deep
expertise on foot morphology (from our background in medical insoles) and a sprinkle of
machine learning magic and there you have it: the world’s best sales assistant, finding you the
perfect shoe in terms of both fit and functionality.

We provide personalized shopping advice to more than 13 million consumers in more than 2000

How will you spend your days?

As the Strategic Account Manager, you are at the core of our business. You will join an
international and ambitious team of 35 people (and counting!) and will run the show when it
comes to managing and growing our strategic accounts, which include some of the largest
retailers in the world. Imagine working with clients like Intersport, CCC/Eobuwie and Sport2000
on a daily basis! To make our customers successful, you will also cooperate with other
departments, like finance and engineering.

In a nutshell, you will:

 be the mastermind behind building and maintaining relationships with our key customers
 ensure the smoothest customer journey including onboarding and ongoing client
satisfaction after implementation
 deep-sell on current accounts, more is always better!
 collaborate and coordinate internally with different teams (product, engineering,
operations, finance)
 be in the driver’s seat in helping SafeSize grow to +2500 stores worldwide
What do we expect from you?

Being our Strategic Account Manager is a fulfilling yet demanding position. Here’s what skills you
should possess to be the ideal candidate:

 Relevant experience of approximately 3 years and proven sales & account management
background
 Fluency in English and French or German
 Retail experience is a big plus – especially experience in footwear would make our eye
pop!
 Hands-on mentality with a strong service-oriented attitude
 Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
 Willingness to travel internationally (~20-30%)
