World Learning Priority: Exploration, develop working theories for making sense of the material world and problem solving
It was a sunny day. The teachers were busy
tidying up the shed. There were lots of outdoor equipment that weren’t being used. So, we decided to sort them out.
Yusuf, you have discovered one of the
convertible bike that we bought out. You were curious of what the button can do. You looked at every inch of the bike trying to figure out what it can do. You tried pushing the button but nothing happened.
I can hear you mumbling some words while you
trying to work it out. “How does this work?”. You tried pushing the button again while lifting up the seat. “It’s a scooter”, as you were amazed with what it can do. You spend quite a long time trying to figure out what it can do and Masha Allah I was amazed at how you were so patient and was able to develop a working theory to make sense of the material world. It was also nice to hear you talking about your curiosity and problem solving skills.
