IVANO-FRANKIVSK NATIONAL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

It is one of the oldest medical higher institutions of Ukraine founded in 1945. Each
year about 800 international students from all around the world get admitted to the
university. The university has five basic departments – General Medicine,
Pediatrics, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Postgraduate and 57 chairs as well as a medical
school. The university has dining-rooms and coffee-houses with 354-seater hostel
for international students.

IVANO-FRANKIVSK CITY
Ivano-frankivsk is a historic city located in Western Ukraine. The city is situated in
the Carpathian region northeast of the mountain range, sitting approximately 120
meters (390 ft) above mean sea level. it is designated as a city of regional
significance within the oblast, and together with several rural localities, is
incorporated as Ivano-Frankivsk Municipality.

Established in 1784, Lviv National Medical University is a non-profit public higher


education institution located in the city of Lviv. Officially accredited and/or
recognized by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Lviv National Medical University
(LNMU) is a coeducational higher education institution. By the number of foreign
students, the University is one of the leaders among the higher medical
educational institutions of Ukraine, which testifies to its high authority in the world
market of educational services. Today, 1137 foreign citizens from nearly 50
countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and America are trained at the University, of which
more than 80 percent are enrolled in English.
LVIV CITY
Lviv is the largest city in western Ukraine and the seventh-largest city in the country
overall, with a population of 724,713 as of January 2019. Lviv is one of the main
cultural centres of Ukraine.

TERNOPIL NATIONAL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY


Ternopil, Ukraine

Training at Ternopil State medical Institute was inaugurated on September 1,


1957. The Academy ranked first among medical higher educational institutions in
regard to the proportion of teachers with scientific degrees. Today, the University
comprises 48 departments organized into 5 faculties – Medical Faculty, Faculty of
Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of International Students, and
Postgraduate Training Faculty. Throughout the University history, the number of
graduates totals at 25 thousand and about 40 thousand specialists working in
Ukraine and abroad, took advanced training at the Postgraduate Training Faculty.

TERNOPIL CITY
Ternopil is a city in western Ukraine, located on the banks of the Seret River.
Ternopil has a moderate continental climate with cold winters and warm summers.
The famous festival in this town is an open-air music festival called Faine Misto.
