The N10-RC Gas-Lift Valves is a 1” OD wire-line retrievable

valve designed to be used in continuous or intermittent gas-lift
applications. The components of this valve are manufactured
from 316LSS Stainless steel as standard but can be supplied
in a wide range of alternate materials to fit your working
conditions. Valves are manufactured to conform to NACE
MR0175 Specifications working environments with H2S.

The bellows of the N10-RC valves are manufactured form

three layers of monel, during the manufacturing process this
bellows assembly is subjected to high differential pressures
following API11V1 procedures to ensure stability during
operation. These bellows include a stabilization and
dampening system to ensure a fluid movement and prevent
valve chatter. This dampening system also prevents bellows
collapse in the presence of high differential pressures.

The valves are designed to allow for a large range of orifices,

ranging from 1/8” to 3/8”, depending on the application to
ensure you achieve the desired gas throughput. As standard
valves are supplied with monel seats, but can be supplied with
Tungsten Carbide or other materials. In the case of valves
supplied with tungsten carbide seats, these are lapped with the
stem tip to ensure leak proof operation.

Main Features:

• Three-ply Monel Bellows

• Bellows assemblies are supplied with dampening system to
prevent valve chatter and seat damage.
• Mechanical stop to prevent over compression of bellows.
• All our valves are manufactured under API11V1 specifications, and
all the required control are done before shipment (Bellows ageing,
5 day shelf life test, stem travel, bellows load rate tests, etc)
• These valves are normally used as IPO valves for different gas-lift
applications. They can be used as PPO valves using a specially
designed mandrel.
• Seat sizes available: 1/8” to 3/8” in increments of 1/16”
• Wide range of packing and seal materials available to adapt to your
working environments.
• Bottom latch (collet type) and integral check valve.

Standard Operation:

In IPO type operation (Injection Pressure Operated), both tubing and annular flow,
the injected gas enters the valve through the side ports, and acts upon the effective
bellows area (Ab), at the moment this pressure is higher than the bellows charge
pressure (Pb) the bellows is compressed and allows gas passage through the seat to
the tubing or casing into the fluid column. (Valves are opened by a combination of
injected gas pressure plus fluid pressure acting from below the stem, when both these
forces added, are higher than bellows charge pressure valve will open).

These valves may be used in both gas lift options:

• Continuous Gas-Lift : Where a continuous and controlled rate of gas is injected

into the fluid column, thus reducing it´s gradient and allowing reservoir pressure
to carry the fluids to the surface

• Intermittent Gas-Lift : Where a large volume of gas is injected in a short time into
the fluid column thus creating a gas slug, that through expansion will push the
accumulated fluid column to the surface (using the gas slug as a piston). The
injection and waiting times are controlled from the surface.
