Learning Objective
LS. 2 The student will investigate and understand that all living things are composed of cells. Key
concepts include

Pedagogy Activity In this learning activity, the students will learn about structures of an animal cell. The students will
also practice identifying and labeling the animal cell. Lastly, after the student has made an
inference based off of what they have observed, they will work in groups to share what they have
learned from the Animal Cell Structure and Function Activity.
The students will raise their hand to be selected by the teacher to go up to the white board to direct
and share with other students about the slide that the class is observing.
For example: The first slide tells about animal cells however the teacher will ask the students who
wants to go to the white board to read the slide and highlight key words to raise their hand. The
teacher will choose a student. The student will use the white board pen to highlight key words and
also read to the class what the slide says. After the student is done, the teacher will explain what
the slide means and all the other students will write down their inference on this slide so they can
work in groups to compare and contrast their opinion after the class is done completing the white
board activity.
