Uses

EstoWrap is used for strengthening columns

and beams of load bearing structures
specifically where improvement to shear
strength and deformation properties is
required. Typical applications include piers,
columns, connecting beams and slabs of
railway and road bridges, buildings and towers.

Advantages
r Exhibit high tensile strength and elastis
modulus.
r Gooddimensionalstability
. High impact resistance
r Resin is of high chemical resistance
. lmparts very low electrical conductivity
r Will not corrode
. Light weight hence easy to handle and

Estowrap Primer.

Priming Limitations

The base and hardener components of EstoWrap should be protectedvia overcoating

EstoWrap Primer should be thoroughly stirred with a PU based UV resistant coating within 6
before the two are mixed together. hours of application.

Pour the hardener into a suitably sized mixing

vessel and add the base resin into the
hardener. The use of heavy duty slow speed,
flameproof or air driven driltfitted with a mixing
paddle is desirable. Mix these components in
the quantities supplied taking care to ensure all
containers are scrapped clean.

Apply EstoWrap Primer to

the prepared
substrate using a stiff brush, working the primer
well into the substrate at a coverage rate of 0.3
kglm2.

Application

Arrange enough material manpower and

equipments to carry out the application within
the resin's pot life.

The base and hardener components of

EstoWrap Encapsulation Resin should be
mixed as per mixing instructions of Estowarp
Primer. Apply the EstoWrap Resin to the
primed surface, using roller, at a rate of 0.6
kglm2. lmmediately after application of the
resin, the pre-cut EstoWrap Carbon Fabric
$heet (maximum 4m length) should beapplied
using rubber or plastic scrapper.
