śrī-rājovāca yuvāṁ tu viśvasya vibhū

vrataṁ puṁsavanaṁ brahman jagataḥ kāraṇaṁ param


bhavatā yad udīritam iyaṁ hi prakṛtiḥ sūkṣmā
tasya veditum icchāmi māyā-śaktir duratyayā
yena viṣṇuḥ prasīdati

śrī-śuka uvāca tasyā adhīśvaraḥ sākṣāt


śukle mārgaśire pakṣe tvam eva puruṣaḥ paraḥ
yoṣid bhartur anujñayā tvaṁ sarva-yajña ijyeyaṁ
ārabheta vratam idaṁ kriyeyaṁ phala-bhug bhavān
sārva-kāmikam āditaḥ
niśamya marutāṁ janma
brāhmaṇān anumantrya ca
snātvā śukla-datī śukle guṇa-vyaktir iyaṁ devī
vasītālaṅkṛtāmbare vyañjako guṇa-bhug bhavān
pūjayet prātarāśāt prāg tvaṁ hi sarva-śarīry ātmā
bhagavantaṁ śriyā saha śrīḥ śarīrendriyāśayāḥ
nāma-rūpe bhagavatī
alaṁ te nirapekṣāya pratyayas tvam apāśrayaḥ
pūrṇa-kāma namo ’stu te
mahāvibhūti-pataye yathā yuvāṁ tri-lokasya
namaḥ sakala-siddhaye varadau parameṣṭhinau
tathā ma uttamaśloka
yathā tvaṁ kṛpayā bhūtyā santu satyā mahāśiṣaḥ
tejasā mahimaujasā
juṣṭa īśa guṇaiḥ sarvais
tato ’si bhagavān prabhuḥ
ity abhiṣṭūya varadaṁ
viṣṇu-patni mahā-māye śrīnivāsaṁ śriyā saha
mahāpuruṣa-lakṣaṇe tan niḥsāryopaharaṇaṁ
prīyethā me mahā-bhāge dattvācamanam arcayet
loka-mātar namo ’stu te

oṁ namo bhagavate mahā-puruṣāya mahānubhāvāya tataḥ stuvīta stotreṇa


mahāvibhūti-pataye saha mahā-vibhūtibhir balim bhakti-prahveṇa cetasā
upaharāmīti; anenāhar-ahar mantreṇa viṣṇor yajñocchiṣṭam avaghrāya
āvāhanārghya-pādyopasparśana-snāna-vāsa- punar abhyarcayed dharim
upavīta-vibhūṣaṇa-gandha-puṣpa-dhūpa-
dīpopahārādy-upacārān susamā-hitopāharet. patiṁ ca parayā bhaktyā
mahāpuruṣa-cetasā
haviḥ-śeṣaṁ ca juhuyād priyais tais tair upanamet
anale dvādaśāhutī prema-śīlaḥ svayaṁ patiḥ
oṁ namo bhagavate mahā-puruṣāya bibhṛyāt sarva-karmāṇi
mahāvibhūti-pataye svāheti patnyā uccāvacāni ca

śriyaṁ viṣṇuṁ ca varadāv


āśiṣāṁ prabhavāv ubhau kṛtam ekatareṇāpi
bhaktyā sampūjayen nityaṁ dam-patyor ubhayor api
yadīcchet sarva-sampadaḥ patnyāṁ kuryād anarhāyāṁ
patir etat samāhitaḥ
praṇamed daṇḍavad bhūmau
bhakti-prahveṇa cetasā
daśa-vāraṁ japen mantraṁ viṣṇor vratam idaṁ bibhran
tataḥ stotram udīrayet na vihanyāt kathañcana
viprān striyo vīravatīḥ
srag-gandha-bali-maṇḍanaiḥ
arced ahar-ahar bhaktyā
devaṁ niyamam āsthitā
udvāsya devaṁ sve dhāmni
tan-niveditam agrataḥ
adyād ātma-viśuddhy-arthaṁ
sarva-kāma-samṛddhaye

etena pūjā-vidhinā
māsān dvādaśa hāyanam
nītvāthoparamet sādhvī
kārtike carame ’hani

śvo-bhūte ’pa upaspṛśya


kṛṣṇam abhyarcya pūrvavat
payaḥ-śṛtena juhuyāc
caruṇā saha sarpiṣā
pāka-yajña-vidhānena
dvādaśaivāhutīḥ patiḥ

āśiṣaḥ śirasādāya
dvijaiḥ prītaiḥ samīritāḥ
praṇamya śirasā bhaktyā
bhuñjīta tad-anujñayā

ācāryam agrataḥ kṛtvā


vāg-yataḥ saha bandhubhiḥ
dadyāt patnyai caroḥ śeṣaṁ
suprajāstvaṁ susaubhagam

etac caritvā vidhivad vrataṁ vibhor


abhīpsitārthaṁ labhate pumān iha
strī caitad āsthāya labheta saubhagaṁ
śriyaṁ prajāṁ jīva-patiṁ yaśo gṛham

kanyā ca vindeta samagra-lakṣaṇaṁ


patiṁ tv avīrā hata-kilbiṣāṁ gatim
mṛta-prajā jīva-sutā dhaneśvarī
sudurbhagā subhagā rūpam agryam
vinded virūpā virujā vimucyate
ya āmayāvīndriya-kalya-deham
etat paṭhann abhyudaye ca karmaṇy
ananta-tṛptiḥ pitṛ-devatānām
tuṣṭāḥ prayacchanti samasta-kāmān
homāvasāne huta-bhuk śrī-hariś ca
rājan mahan marutāṁ janma puṇyaṁ
diter vrataṁ cābhihitaṁ mahat te
