T SCHOOL OF

NATURAL RESOURCES
AND TOURISM
The Vision of the School is to become a school of choice
for Natural Resources, Agricultural, Land, Hospitality and
Tourism Management and related disciplines in Namibia
and the SADC region. With a modern student friendly
learning environment and up-to-date curriculum, the school
strives to provide the best learning experience to our
students. We stress the blending of theory and practice
in all our programmes and this gives our graduates that
extra quality that a progressive employer may require.

The School achieves this through research and

academic programmes offered by the four academic
departments namely Agriculture, Land Management,
Nature Conservation and Hospitality and Tourism. Our
programmes are geared towards national development
imperatives embedded in Vision 2030 and implemented
through national development plans. In addition, we
strive to build capacity required to meet the regional
transformation challenges such as poverty reduction, land
reform, sustainable agriculture and food security, eco-
tourism, environmental and ecological sustainability for
sustainable socio-economic development.
