Cuando el nacimiento ocurre antes del tiempo esperado o nace un recién nacido
(RN) enfermo, puede ser aún más estresante para una familia, por muchas
razones. Estas incluyen el percibir la sensación de fracaso de tener un niño
enfermo, el temor a la muerte del niño, la alteración del apego niño-padres, la
interrupción en la rutina familiar, el temor con respecto a su cuidado y protección y
resignarse a aceptar que otras personas cuiden de él en este período.
CAPÍTULO IV: Desarrolla todo el análisis de los resultados, finalizando con las
conclusiones, sugerencias, bibliografía y anexos.

Results: 59% from 20 to 34 years, 54% came from urban areas and 17% marginal
urban area, 52% are cohabiting and 18% were single, 47% have an income of 300
to 700 s /., 32% of infants with Respiratory distress Syndrome and 6% with
jaundice and prematurity; the relationships between mothers and health personnel
is good at 54%, 47% are housewives and 13 % have dependent work, 59% have 1
to 2 children and 4% more than 5 children, in relation to the presence of maternal
stress caused by biomedical equipment 50% indicate they are very stressful; the
presence of constant noise of 54 % indicate they are very stressful; the number of
staff in the unit indicate the 37% was not; the presence of bruises and cuts indicate
that 47% which was very stressful; Concerning the newborn size, 50% stated that
this item is not applicable; on pain perception, 56% say they are very stressful.
Finally it was found that the stress level of mothers of infants hospitalized in
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Regional Hospital - Cusco was "very stressful".
