A library is a compulsory infrastructure in any town.

It’s a haven that benefits many people in a

community. But some of you might be asking just how important is a library to the community. Let
me enlighten you.

A very good morning I bid to the honourable judges and timekeeper. Well as the world knows, a
library is a building or a room containing collections of books. But if you ponder into this statement a
little longer, you will realize that the library is more than just a storage room.

First of all, library is a portal to all the worlds knowledge. The library is the one of the official
sturctures that offer free educational resources to everyone. At a library, it doesn't matter how
much money you make, because every resource there is free of charge, including books, internet
access, and educational and professional training programs. Individuals and families, no matter their
socioeconomic status, can count on their libraries to provide them with the resources they need to
succeed and the answers to important questions they can't otherwise find.

A public library is a place that is open to poor and rich alike. There are mainly two sections in a
library. They are the lending section and the reference section. Any member can borrow books from
the lending section. Non-members too can use the reference section. They are allowed to enter the
section free of charge. They can takedown notes from the books. In addition to these two sections,
there is another section in a library. Here any one can do his or her studies under a calm and quiet
environment. This section is called “The study room”. Some students find it very difficult to do their
studies at their homes due to various reasons. This section is particularly useful for such students.

A library can also be used as a dynamic centre of idea interaction. This is one of the most important
and helpful benefits that the library can provide. Every person has his or her own ideas and opinions
on a certain topic. By idea sharing, one may be able to share his or her ideas to other people and
provide information and opinions that has not been known by others. in my book this idea
interaction centre really gives benefits and as the saying goes sharing is caring.

A library also functions as a place for people to learn about history and truth. It’s one of the most
reliable sources for anyone to access knowledge about national history and also idols. It’s one of
those places where you can really rely on getting unedited knowledge of the past and might just
even help us to understand ourselves better.

With the growing popularity of internet, which provides loads of information with just a click of a
mouse, one may pause to think about the decreasing relevance and importance of a library in
today’s world. But one should keep in mind that a person goes to a library not only to search and get
information from books but also to sit and study there. The ambience and the peaceful and scholarly
atmosphere then helps one to concentrate more on one’s work and study. Thus, libraries will never
become redundant. They will always be there to indicate the presence of a well-read and educated
society.
