In fact, when Jesus left and breathed

they were so badly desiring.
How many of us have the same hun-
ger? How many of us thirst longingly
for righteousness? How many of us
examine ourselves daily, then pro-
ceed to take up our crosses and fol-
low Him? It is easy for us to point
fingers and say, “they’re not doing it!”
But are we ourselves overwhelmed
with the magnificence of God and
asking Him to teach us?
Dare I say, that we do not because we
don’t want to learn? And If we did,
what would he teach us? Maybe he
would teach us about money, or mo-
rality, or self-sacrifice. What we do
know for sure is that Jesus taught his
disciples to pray, and the model
prayer he used was absolutely loaded
with power and lessons.
1) Holy are you, God! When you pray
make sure you remember that it’s not
about your righteousness or wordi-
ness, but about a Holy and majestic
God. 2) Your Kingdom be as present
here as it is there. Matthew uses
these words, “your Kingdom come,
your will be done on earth as it is in
Heaven.” God’s Kingdom and His will
are intertwined. His will is
always done in Heaven, but
not always done on earth.
When we pray, “your kingdom
come” we are asking that God’s King-
dom be present where it is not, and
the church is His “incarnation.”
Therefore, when we pray to a Holy
God we are asking Him to be here, in
a rebellious world, as His presence. 3)
Meet our daily needs, no more, no
less. Give us only that which will al-
low us to be your presence. 4) Forgive
us just like we forgive those around
us, and lead us clear of temptation. I
put these last two together because
they belong that way. When we
pray, we ask that God’s forgiveness
would abound in us with the full un-
derstanding that we are required to
do the same. This is a call to action
on our part! Forgive us, we are
wretched people living in a broken
world, and we are going to be forgiv-
ing those who are hurtful wretches to
us. We understand that if we are not
forgiving, temptation to sin will be
close behind. In fact, if we don’t for-
give, we cannot expect that God will
forgive us —leading us to believe
clearly that if we do not forgive we
are in sin.
These are hard les-
sons, are we will-
ing to ask the
Lord to teach
us?

If you are a horse nut or want to be
one, we are planning a congregation
fellowship for sometime this sum-
mer. There will be a trail ride in
Moose Mountain Park for those who
want to ride and activities for others
who don't want to ride. A date has
not been set yet, so if you are inter-
ested please let us know when would

THE LONECHILD FAMILY
After losing their home in a fire on the
whitebear reserve, the family is in
need of some specific items. They
will be moving into their new home
this week and will know about furni-
ture then, but for now they need
some size 8 or 9 pants and some
or 8 pants for a 6 year old girl as well
as some small/medium shirts and
sweaters. They also need some
hygiene products (shampoo,
brushes, combs, hairdryers, etc.)
