6. A simply supported beam of rectangular section (60 × 80)mm carries a load of 2KN
at the center of 4m span. The load line is inclined at 30 to the vertical passing
through the c.g. of section. Determine the max deflection and stress at the top
corner. (E = 210KN/mm2 ). [16]

7. A semi circular beam is supported on three equally spaced columns. Derive ex-
pressions for max.B.M. and max. Twisting moment by first obtaining the general
expressions. [16]

8. Using the method of joints find out the forces in all the members of the simply-
supported pin-jointed plane truss loaded as shown in figure 1. [16]
