Chapter I

INTRODUCTION:

This chapter deals with the background of the study, the review of

related literatures statement of the problem, conceptual framework, theoretical

framework significance of the study.

Background of the study:

One trivia I found out about their patties is that they are made

from puso ng saging a bit of meat and some meat extenders, unfortunately I

wasn’t able to find out what is the English term of that vegetable.

The thing I liked about Angel’s Burger is that they are easily available.

Like literally in every part of my neighborhood there is like one or two stands

in every corner. But the thing that I don’t like though is that since they are a

franchise, each stand is different from the other. For example, in one stand I

went to they offer coleslaw as an additional for their burgers while on other

stands they don’t offer coleslaw. Their sauce is only ketchup with mayo.

Their best seller is basically their buy one take one burgers, in which

there is a cheese burger variant if you want that more.

In terms of prices, Angel’s burger is 23.50 pesos while their cheese

burger is 32.50 pesos. It’s actually a bit cheaper but the size of their burgers a

bit smaller.

This chapter consists of related information gathered from the articles,

books, journals and online sources. Those that were included in this chapter

will help in familiarizing and to gather more information in the present study.

The marketing mix is a significant tool for creating the right marketing

strategy and its implementation through effective tactics. The assessment of

overall marketing approach. All the elements, included in the marketing mix

and the extended marketing mix, have an interaction with one another. If you

have a service or a product, then you will have to decide on a price in order to

sell it,

As your business grows, however, you’ll find that you’ll need to shift

your focus from just acquiring new customers, to retaining your existing

customers. If you’re looking to grow your business revenue year after year,

selling more to existing customers is a cost-effective way to go. Getting repeat

business costs less than getting new business; consider the costs of

advertising, networking, offering a “free consult”, or other incentives to new

markets. And, there’s the risk new leads won’t buy. Developing a strong

relationship with existing customers can turn them into loyal customer

evangelists; that is, they don’t just buy from you, but they also tell others

about you and help increase your sales with the passion of their referral. (Hill,

satisfy anyone’s appetite. Typically, building a client/customer base takes

years and most businesses struggle to develop repeat customers. With a well-

known franchise, you'll have whole recognition and constant customers from

day one that will increase the probability for fulfillment.

The role of Product Quality in Success Factors of Franchising:

Quality is important to satisfying your customer’s and holding their loyalty

so that they still purchase from you within the future. Quality merchandise

create a very important contribution to semi-permanent revenue and

profitableness.

One of the best greatest of franchising is that

it permits business homeowners to expand their business mistreatment "Other

To make the continuous growth of franchising they must have a good

service and to have an effective employees. Service business operators

typically assess the service quality provided to their customer’s so as to

any enterprise due to the fact it gives entrepreneurs and commercial

enterprise overall performance from a consumer perspective.

The relation of Customer’s Loyalty in Success Factors of Franchising:

Building client loyalty is very important because it usually ends up in

additional business. Your existing customer’s generate additional profit

compared to new customer, having already designed the connection and

trust, loyal customer can pay more cash over time. Building patron loyalty is

essential as it regularly leads to extra business. Your existing customers

generate greater earnings compared to new customers, having already

The researchers used the input, process and output. The conceptual

framework is presented in two parts. The first part is the demographic profile

that describes the characteristics of the respondents. This will emphasize the

demographic profile of the owners. The second part will be together with the

survey questionnaire were distribution of questionnaires, collection of data,

analysis of data and interpretation of the results in order to formulate

conclusion basis for improved continues growth.

The figure above shows that the 4p's of marketing mix theory of

Jerome McCarthy helped the researchers to understand and to know how the

can lead to the success of the angel's burger and to the continuous growth of

angel's burger. If the strategy of the angel's burger apply the 4p's of marketing

mix, then the angel's burger will lead to success and growth of the business

In Service, the business should have a good service to the customers to

satisfy and to make the customer happy and will patronized the product of

angel's burger for having a good service to the customers.

In Management, the angel's burger management should operate and can

assist all the need and improvement of the business and they must control the

business in a good way and can understand the customer’s right and can

operate the employees need.

In Resources, the product of the business is always enough for the

customers or the product is inexhaustible to make sure that all of the

customers will always patronized their product that makes the business

continuous to growth in Marikina City.

In Product Quality, features and characteristics of a saleable good which

determine its desirability and which can be controlled by a manufacturer to

meet certain basic requirements. Most businesses that produce goods for

sale have a product quality or assurance department that monitors outgoing

products for consumer acceptability.

Significance of the Study:

The study aims to understand that the success of angels burger is

continuous to growth in Marikina city and show the improvement of the quality

of the food and ambiance of angels burger and with the help of the employees

to serve and to make sure that the customers of angels burger is satisfied and

happy in the product of the angels burger for the continue to grow through the

success in Marikina City.

For the Owners. The findings of this study contributed to the success of the

owners or entrepreneur towards sustainability. They can manage it properly

and to maintain their business for the continuous success in Marikina City.

For the Employees. This study helps the employees to know more different

knowledge on how to improve their skills for the continuing success of the

business in Marikina City for the Business Students. This study will helped

them to have some information about the methodology of the business

ownership to give them some ideas for future opportunity.

For the Customers. This result of the study is easily helped them to say their

opinion in the establishment and for the improvement of the business.

For the Future Researchers. This study discussed the success factors and

growth maintenance that will make future researchers to work in this study by

knowing some information from it. It can be serving as their guidelines to do

their future research.

Methodology

This chapter explain the methodology will be applied. Research design and

material used and gathering and conducting research.

Research design

This study will be use a qualitative method of research. It seeks to

provide information through survey questionnaire, interview and analysis data.

The research use quantitative design in which it is more formal and has a

systematic process the study objective beyond tabulation using numerical

categories wherein the gathered data will be much easier to explain and

understand, and it will describe and show the continuous growth of angel's

burger in Marikina City. This data that has been obtained in the study will

become the basis of inferences and analysis to make conclusion and

recommendation.

Research Locale

The research will be used angels burger place to conduct the study.

The location angel's burger Marikina where the researcher need for two times

or more from school by using jeepney to go on that particular place. The

environment of the place is cozy and clean that is appropriate for

accommodating customer.

The respondents of the research are customer of angel's burger. The

respondents shall be male and female .the researches will conduct a survey

to only 30 customers as respondents.

Research instrument

In this study, the instrument that the researchers will use a survey

questionnaire. The questions will be answer by a 5 point scale or also known

as Likert scale. The survey included the demographic profile of the

respondents and the question will only be written in one page.

Methods of Gathering Data

These methods for gathering data in research used to seek information

and ideas for the study. The researchers used survey questionnaire as a tool

for our study to get information from the respondents.

Questionnaire

This is a set of printed questions with a choice of answers, devised for

the purposes of a survey or statistically study. The respondents for the survey

questionnaire are the customer of Angel’s Burger.
