Anthroposophic Medicine

According to Rudolf Steiner, the aloe represents the moon in conflict with the sun –
relating to the high liquid content of the plant. A main characteristic is the tension between
the ethereal and the astral. A special facet of the aloe plant is its ability to organise the water,
to maintain life and to reproduce (numerous offshoots!) in dire conditions: heat, wind,
dryness. Due to its robust outer layer and its myriad webbed inner vein system the aloe
manages to maintain its moistness by preventing evaporation; it is a truly remarkable
survivor of nature.

With the research’s goal of unraveling the perceptions of the selected MDSI students,
the conceptual frame will explain the dependent and independent variables that will occur to
the effect of our research study to the discernment of the respondents

Conceptual Framework

The study shows the discernment of the selected MDSI student in the Effectiveness of Aloe
Vera as a herbal treatment to skin diseases. Giving this Framework that shows the
characteristics of the constructed respondents as the Selected MDSI students. This was also
identification on the possible relationship among the students’ socio-demographic profile,
perception and the awareness impact.

Research Methodology

This study investigated the perception of MDSI students, specifically, the level of
their awareness about herbal medicine especially aloe vera. Purposely, it examined two areas
of concern: the advantages and disadvantages of aloe vera. The most significant attribute of
this study looked in the relationship on how certain would be the perception of the students to
the awareness impact.

Research Design

Research design is defined as a framework of methods and techniques chosen by a

researcher to combine various components of research in a reasonably logical manner so that
the research problem is efficiently handled. It provides insights about “how” to conduct
research using a particular methodology. Every researcher has a list of research questions
which need to be assessed – this can be done with research design. This study utilized a
quantitative, descriptive design to identify, analyze, and describe the level of awarenes of
MDSI students regarding to herbal medicine and aloe vera

To address the research question, the quantitative study will give information on
factors that attributed to students level of awareness about the herbal medicine epecially aloe
vera. The researcher’s questionnaires, which entailed quantitative and categorical
information will be allowed for the analysis of the student’s perception and awareness
impact.
 Samples/Sampling Procedure

The respondents of this research are some chosen MDSI students. Random Sampling
will be applied in this study which they will be selected randomly and fair. The respondents
included in this study will be 50 students from grade 9-12. In each year levels. The
researchers will select randomly the students to answer the questionnaires given the research
are conducted. The researcher will select the students depending on their awareness or level
of information about the aloe vera. The purpose of conducting using random sampling
considering their level of information is to capture the differences in their perceptions about
the aloe vera.

Research Locale

This study will be conducted of 50 randomly selected grade 9 to grade 12 junior and
senior high school students at the Montessri De San Ildefonso, Quijano St., Poblacion, San
Ildefonso, Bulacan. MDSI is located near Saint Paul San Ildefonso and Pamilihang Bayan ng
San Ildefinso in San Ildefonso, Bulacan.

RESEARCH INSTRUMENT
 In gathering the data, the researcher formulated a questionnaire for evaluating the
perception MDSI students about the aloe vera. This questionnaire are designed in three
different segments; Part 1 comprised the socio- demographic characteristics of respondents,
including their personal profile. Part 2, determined the perception of MDSI students about
the aloe vera. Finally, Part 3 evaluated the awareness impact, the level of awareness and
curiosity of MDSI students. To determine the awareness impact of the MDSI students the (2)
Agree, (1)Disagree, and the 2 point numerical and descriptive equivalent will applied.

Date Gathering Procedure

The survey questionnaires will administer to randomly selected 50 high school

students of Montessori De San Ildefonso, Quijano St., Poblacion, San Ildefonso, Bulacan for
around one-week period. Enclosed in the survey instrument is a letter of request to the school
head to allow the researchers to conduct surveys inside the school premises. When the survey
are all been collected, all data for each question will tabulated accordingly with descriptive
frequency counts, measure of central tendency, standard deviation prior to analysis of data.

Data Analysis

The analysis will include descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Descriptive
statistics including frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations, which will be
use to present the description of the respondents regarding level of awareness about herbal
medicine and how aloe vera can help the. By this, the researcher will explain how herbal
medicine especially aloe vera will help the students and do students are knowledgeable
enough about herbal medicine.
 Confidentiality Procedures

To be able to protect the real identity of the respondents, confidentiality procedure for
this research will be strictly observed. Real names of the respondents will be identified yet
their respective responses and names will disclose to anyone. The data that the researcher
will gather are will only use to calculate the require numerical value being examine within
the scope of this research.
