I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, Grade 7 students would be able to:
 Execute the skills involved in the dance.
 Perform the fundamental positions of arms and legs.
 Show appreciation on traditional dances.

Let us stand for the prayer.

1. Follow the directions and steps carefully.
2. Listen to the teacher attentively.
3. Raise your hand if you want to speak/answer.
4. Respect each other’s opinions.

Now, are you ready for today’s lesson?

Last time we tackled about Festival Dances. Right?
So what is this all about? Anyone. Yes.
Very Good!
Now, we will proceed to another type of dance. Are
you excited to learn again?
2. Drill - Warm-Up
Let’s have first warm-up activity to be physically
fit. I will do first and you will follow.  Jogging

3. Motivation – Video Presentation
This morning class, I will show you a video clip
and observe what is being portray in the video. Yes Ma’am.
Later on, I’ll be asking some questions. Is that
clear?
Ma’am, they are dancing.
Now class, what have you been observed on the
video presented?
They are doing the basic steps of folk dancing

Yes, Exactly. It seems that you have an idea of
what will be our topic today.
B. Explanation
Philippine folk dance is very crucial to each one
of us because it helps keep the people connected
to their ancestry and their traditions. It also helps
to preserve the cultural unity of the people.
At this point in time, we will execute the
fundamental positions of arms and legs in folk
dancing. Before that, a dancer should possess
skills such as presence in mind, flexibility and
passion.
Now, let’s begin.
I will do first and you will follow.

- 5 minutes only for each group presentation.
