Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Ph.D. Programs
i) M.Sc. (Hons)/M.Phil./M.S Degree or its equivalent awarded after 18-years of education in the relevant discipline with minimum first
Division (Annual/Term system) or CGPA of 3.00 on the scale of 4.0 (semester system) from HEC recognized universities or DAIs.
ii) Only those candidates will be considered for Ph.D. admissions who have already qualified or will qualify GAT-subject test or relevant
university test with minimum passing score of 60.

Eligibility Criteria for Admissions to M.Sc. (Hons.) /MSCS / M.Phil. Programs
i) M.A/M.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons)/B.S 4-years degree or its equivalent in the relevant discipline with at least 2nd Division (Annual/Term
System) or CGPA of 2.50 on the scale of 4.0 (semester system) from any of HEC recognized universities or DAIs.
ii) Only those candidates will be considered for M.Sc. (Hons.)/M.S/M.Phil. Programs’ admissions who have already qualified or will
qualify GAT-General or relevant university test with minimum passing score of 50.
iii) Note: For M.Phil. (Islamic Studies), applicants with degree of Shahadat-ul-Aalmia with BA 2nd Division are also eligible for admission

General Information & Instructions

Only the hard copies of applications for admission submitted through online system on the university website www.gu.edu.pk will be
entertained and considered for admission. Submit the print out of online application form along-with attested copies of all relevant
documents and Original Bank Challan of Rs. 2000/- (application & entry test fee) deposited in National Bank, Gomal University Branch
(Code No. 1373 online PLS A/C No. 3065063846) OR Allied Bank Faqirni Gate D.I.Khan A/C No. 0010007283340702 OR an
original Bank Draft Rs. 2000/- in the name of Director Finance, Gomal University, to the Office of Directorate of Admissions, Main
Campus, Gomal University, on or before 30th May, 2019. Those candidates who have already qualified NTS-Tests (GAT-General
for M.Phil. and GAT-Subject for Ph.D.) are exempted from test & test fee, and they are required to deposit Rs.1000/- (as application
processing fee). In case they want to improve their entry test score, they will have to deposit additional Rs.1000/- (Entry Test Fee) along-
with application processing fee of Rs. 1000/- Incomplete forms and applications of in-eligible candidates will not be considered for
admission. No separate call letter will be issued to the applicants and all the information pertaining to admission process will be displayed
