INTRODUCTION

Grade 10 students of Aurora National Science High School are gathered by the

researchers to determine their Academic Performances in their Mathematics subject. In

this study, researchers gathers data from the 3 sections’ advisers, Newton, Einstein,

Thomson. The score that every student has to reach is 85 above on their major subjects.

So it is important to pass their major subject. One problem is their poor performance in

Math, some students fail to reach the required average score, making it a big factor of

failing to attain an Academic Award in every grading.

This would be a big help to the teachers of Aurora National Science High School,

because they can plan to use different teaching techniques and strategies that will help

the students to achieve an Academic Award.

It would also be a big help to the students to improve their learning skills, to develop

and improve their knowledge about that subject.

It would be a help to the researchers to improve also their learning skills in different

subjects.

To the administration, it would also be a help as a guide considering in the near

future, different students will also experience the same kind of problems.
This study is limited to determining the Academic Performances of Grade 10

Students of Aurora National Science High School (ANSHS) in their Mathematics subject,

the study will be conducted in Aurora National Science High Shool (ANSHS).

The researchers will gather data from the sections’ advisers, the researchers will

gather their 3rd grading average score in Mathematics. Each section has 10

respondents, 5 boys and 5 girls using a Random Sampling Method. Next, is to

tabulate the scores and determine the measures of position.

CONCLUSION

The study shows that using Quartile, 100% of the students of Aurora National Science
High School have a grade less than or equal than 89.62, 91.4, and 93.19, falls between
the class boundaries of 90-94. This results shows that the students also excels in the
subject, but this can also show that the students only focuses on achieving a line of 9 or
85 above. Even the gathered data shows that there are still students who attain an average
score of 85-88. Which is a big factor of them not getting an Academic Award.
