This vehicle was located by NCPD on 05/24/19 at approximately 7:00 PM on Lapham Rad adjacent to the southwest pertion of Waveny Patkin New Canaan. Thaton 05/25/19 at 9:00 AM, NCPD Ofe. Tom Patten contacted Dulos to request his assistane nthe early stages of the Missing Person Investigation. At 2:47 PM, Dulos an his attorney arived st NCPD headquarters and bly met with investigators inthe publ lobby of the feclty. Duos entered the lobby fst and spoke wth detectives as his attomey, cob Pyetranker, stood outside and spoke on acelphone. When Pytranker entered the lobby, he ‘announced to nvestgators that he ad his cllent would be leaving police heagquarters without brovding an interview. Upon learing tld that Dulos would not be proving any assistance to pole Inthe dsappesrance of his estranged wife, who s the mother of his fe children, Investigators asked to See Dulos cellphone. From the onset ofthe Interview, Troconis provided a substantial amount of information which was sel-conradctory and dd not bear up under the seutiny of investigation, Under directed questioning, Toconls uklmately acknowledged the she was unable to account forthe whereabouts of Duos on 05/24/19 stating at approximately 8:00 AM untl between 1:00PM and 2:00 PM. When shown screenshots from the HPD surveliance footage, Trocons indented they depleted Dulos driving ‘the 2014 Ford Raptor plckup truck repstered to Dul' company ~The Fore Group ~ along ‘Abany Avenue depositing multiple bags of unknown contents in cy trash receptacles. That through thelr Investigation, detectives have dante the vehicle use in the ‘commission ofthe crime as a 2001 Toyota Tacoma (CT Combination Plate: 6617CN) registered to Barbara Gumienny the wife of Dulas Polect Manager for hs company, tha Fre Group, Lc: Pawel Gumienny. The rear cargo area ofthe Jeep contained two vehi seats ‘whlch Gunfenny indkeated he had just removed trom a Porsche Cayenne rgistred to the ‘cin which was parked at a property ued by Duls. Gumlenny indleated his plane were to emo th seats from the Toyota Tacoma, which he routinely perted,andt replace them ‘sith the Porsche seats. It was subsequently determined that Gumienny had removed the Porsche seats atthe expres rection and insistence of Dulas. 14, Tht on 06/02/19 detectives conducted a secondery interview wth Gumienny in which he indleated that he routinely uses vehicles registered tothe Fore Group during his work week. ‘Gumlenny explained he would leave his Toyota packed at Jefferson Crosing— which also ‘sarvs as the Fore Group business offce~ and woud leave his vehicle keys at Jefferson Crossing. This resulted In Dulos having acess tothe vehicle during Gumlenny's work week, and sometimes for longer periods. 415. Tat detectives conducted an extensive canvass for suvelane footage along likely routes ‘beten Duos’ esience andthe erm scene. The result was compiltion of vido eps showing a ed Toyota Tacoma pickup truck traveling on 05/24/19 a varlous points between the Farmington ares and Lapham Road in New Canaan. Vehice characteristics of Gumienny’s sped Toyota Tacoma wore used to differentiate Gumlenny’ truck from other silat, ‘ohides. Known dstances and expected travel ties sparatingsurvellane points were also used torule out extraneous vehicles. Gumlenny, hse, ented the veice as hs own ‘based on some of these factors.
