The Philippine Normal University (PNU)) with its continuous
Rationale display of excellence in instruction, quality research, community-
responsive extension and efficient management of resources, envisions
to engage every member of the university-system community in
achieving its strategic directions relevant to internationalization,
branding and sustainability. In particular, it is the Alumni Relations and
Services Office’ (ARSO) intent to get re-connected with our alumni, and
together work on potential programs and activities aimed at attaining our
Alma Mater’s vision.

Since 2010, there were efforts to renew PNU’s alumni relations

given that our database shows that a significant network of our alumni
seems to be disconnected from our university. It is in this regard that we
need to expand our current alumni database through additional activities
that would develop, maintain and open opportunities for our alumni to
re-engage with us.
As one of the university’s means of intensifying our engagement
with alumni, a “contest” dubbed as “Kami na Yan” is organized. The main
objective of the contest is to extend an award and/or “prize” to the
academic program that will generate the most number of alumni
